Central Kalimantan Deputy Governor Follows President’s Direction Regarding Acceleration of Proud of Indonesian Products Action
JAKARTA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo attended a meeting regarding the Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s Briefing on the National Movement of Proud of Indonesian Products, held in Cendrawasih Room, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Central Jakarta on Tuesday (24/5/2022) afternoon.
The President’s directive regarding efforts to accelerate the Affirmation of Proud of Indonesian Products was followed by the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, Heads of Institutions, Governors, High Executive Officers of Ministries/Institutions, and Heads of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), as well as Regents and Mayors (by online).
In delivering his directions, Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the meeting asked the Governors and Regents/Mayors to be able to take acceleration steps so that regional superior products can be immediately included in the local e-catalog.
“So that later, more and more local products, the superior products of the regions will all be inserted into the e-catalog, and that will trigger the regional economy. And, I make sure that it opens up a lot of job opportunities in the regions,” said President Joko Widodo.
Meanwhile, in his press statement after the activity, the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan explained the meeting he had just attended. “Today, the Deputy Governor and Assistant II attended the Coordination Meeting on Proud of Indonesian Products as a follow-up to the National Coordination Meeting in Bali,” explained Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo.
“And, earlier, we also listened to the direction from the President regarding the acceleration of commitment from all Regional Governments, Ministries, and Institutions to include domestic products as items that can be used in the development spending,” he added.
Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo further stated that the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government will immediately make efforts to accelerate, so that domestic or local products can be immediately inserted into the e-catalog as directed by President Joko Widodo.
“I consider this a very good thing. We will break down again, instruct again how later the commitment in Central Kalimantan for domestic products that we can quickly insert into the e-catalog and we can do in the process of accelerating realization,” concluded the Deputy Governor.
Also accompanying the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo to attend the meeting were Assistant for Economics and Development Leonard S.
