Governor Hopes Central Government Provide Best Solutions and Policy Input for Central Kalimantan Province

PANGKALAN BUN – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Edy Pratowo attended the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of Field Study of National Strategic Issues for the Regular Education Program (PPRA) Batch LXIII of National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) of the Republic of Indonesia which was held at the Brits Hotel Pangkalan Bun, West Kotawaringin, Tuesday (14/6/2022).
On behalf of the Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan, Governor Sugianto Sabran welcomed the Lecturer on Geography at Lemhanas Major General TNI Hayunadi Tajar who was present on behalf of the Deputy Governor of Lemhanas Lt. Gen. Mohammad Sabrar Fadillah at the Land of Tambun Bungai, Land of Pancasila, Central Kalimantan Province.
In his remarks read by the Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo, the Governor hoped that input from the resource persons and participants in this FGD activity could provide new ideas and innovations to create the best solutions and policy inputs for the Government, so that a comprehensive consideration would be very important for the Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan.
“Especially in determining the policy direction for developing the potential of National Resources for national defense,” explained the Governor through the Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo.
Meanwhile, in the discussion session, Central Kalimantan Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo explained the Central Kalimantan Provincial Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for 2021-2026 which includes 3 regional zones, namely the West, Central, and East Zone along with their potential and the potential development plans.
The leading economic sector of Central Kalimantan Province is also an issue in this discussion in addition to plans to improve infrastructure to support economic development in the Land of Tambun Bungai, such as the plans to upgrade Pangkalan Bun Iskandar Airport, the extension of Tjilik Riwut Airport runway in Palangka Raya, and the dredging of the Central Kalimantan river shipping lane.
Central Kalimantan’s economic development includes the down streaming of the palm oil industry and its derivatives, the development of the processed wood industry, and aquaculture, one of which is superior to Vaname Shrimp cultivation (Shrimp Estate). Regarding the Food Estate, it was conveyed that the difference in sales value before the National Strategic Program (PSN) in 2021 was Rp. 27.10 billion.
The activity, which was held in the regency well known as Bumi Marunting Batu Aji, was also attended by the Central Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General of Police Nanang Avianto, Acting Regent of West Kotawaringin Anang Dirjo, and Sukamara Regent Windu Subagio.
