M’Lounge of Tjilik Riwut Airport is Officially Inaugurated
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. M’Lounge of Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya Airport was officially inaugurated on Monday (02/10/2020), as part of the efforts of PT. Angkasa Pura II in making some improvements and providing new facilities at the Airport which becomes the pride of Central Kalimantan people.
The inauguration of M’Lounge of Tjilik Riwut Airport was marked by beating a katambung (traditional instrument) and a ribbon cutting at the lounge entrance by Central Kalimantan Vice Governor Habib Ismail Bin Yahya and followed by reviewing the lounge rooms.
Vice Governor Habib Ismail Bin Yahya hopes that airport managers optimize the existing facilities to introduce Central Kalimantan to broader community. “I hope this M’Lounge facilities can help introducing tourist attractions, customs, and culture or local wisdom of Central Kalimantan people, and give a good impression to all passengers visiting Palangka Raya and Central Kalimantan Province in general,” said Vice Governor when inaugurating the executive lounge located on the 2nd floor of Tjilik Riwut Airport departure area.
Vice Governor Habib Ismail also hopes that M’Lounge facilities can meet the needs of people who use flight services through Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangka Raya.
As stated by Angkasa Pura II Executive General Manager of Tjilik Riwut Airport Siswanto, the executive lounge like M’Lounge is only available at Tjilik Riwut Airport in Palangka Raya and at Kuala Namu Airport in Medan.
The facilities of M’Lounge itself are currently divided into Three Classes, namely the Public Waiting Room for departures and VIP Meeting Rooms which are categorized into two rooms: VIP and VVIP which can be rented with a room area of 250 square meters and can accommodate 150 people.
M’Lounge Tjilik Riwut Airport is equipped with check-in assistance facility and direct service to the gate, praying room, buffet service, smoking area, wifi area (internet), as well as the pick-up service from the arrival area for VIP guests who are directly escorted to VIP or VVIP meeting room.
Tjilik Riwut Airport Terminal covering an area of 29,124 square meters which was officially inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on March 28, 2019, is able to serve 2,200 flight passengers every day.
Tjilik Riwut Airport, aside from being one of the gateways to Central Kalimantan, has also become a new icon for Central Kalimantan people with its luxurious and modern terminal design.
Meanwhile, also attending the inauguration ceremony were the Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Fahrizal Fitri, Governor’s Expert Staff for Economy, Finance and Development Yuas Elko, Head of Culture and Tourism Office of Central Kalimantan Guntur Taladjan, Vice Mayor of Palangka Raya Umi Mastikah, Chairperson of Central Kalimantan House of Representatives Wiyatno, members of the Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum of Central Kalimantan, and the owner of M’Lounge Andri Mairiki.
