Discussing Regional Energy and Assets, Provincial Secretary Delivers Answers to Fraction’s General Views
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. The 11th Plenary Meeting of the First Session Period of 2020 Session Year, Monday (2/24/2020), scheduled the Governor’s response to the general views of the Central Kalimantan Provincial House of the Representatives supporters’ fraction to the Draft of Regional Regulation on the General Plan for Regional Energy and Regional Regulation on Management of Regional Property. The Plenary Meeting which was held in the Plenary Meeting Room of Central Kalimantan House of the Representatives was chaired by the Chairman of the Central Kalimantan House of the Representatives Wiyatno.
Representing Central Kalimantan Governor, Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Fahrizal Fitri said that currently, regulations are still needed through the Draft of Regional Regulation on the General Plan for Regional Energy, even though services in the energy sector for the people of Central Kalimantan are increasing, as an effort to realize energy equality.
“For services in the energy sector, especially for people in rural areas and fishermen, we have tried our best to help, especially villages that have not been reached by the electricity network by relocating the help of Solar Power Plants. This can be seen (from) the increasing of Electrification Ratio in the last 4 years from 2015 by approximately 70%. In the fourth quarter of 2019 it had reached (around) 87% of the area provided by electricity,” the Secretary explained.
“Indeed there is still much that we need to do together to get a sense of justice in terms of energy equity. Therefore, one of our efforts to achieve it is to form a regulation in the energy sector through the Draft of Regional Regulation on the General Plan for Regional Energy,” he continued.
Meanwhile, related to the Draft of Regional Regulation on Management of Regional Property, Governor explained that Central Kalimantan Government is currently undergoing a process of changes in asset management, so in asset management there will be an increase in efficiency, effectiveness, and increase in added value of asset management.
“The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government is always guided by the applicable laws and regulations, where asset management is regulated from planning to coaching and supervising. For this reason, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government proposed the Draft of Regional Regulation on Regional Property Management in order to become a legal basis for better asset management,” added the Secretary reading out the Governor’s answers.
On that occasion, Governor of Central Kalimantan also expressed his appreciation to the fractions for all views on these two Regional Regulation Drafts. “That is it, the responses, explanations, and answers of the Regional Government. We express our appreciation and gratitude for the thoughts contribution of the Board members. May God always pour out His gifts to all of us, in carrying out our respective duties and obligations, to create a more prosperous and dignified Central Kalimantan society,” he concluded.
Attending the plenary meeting were the Deputy Chairman I of Central Kalimantan House of the Representatives Jimmy Carter, Deputy Chairman II of Central Kalimantan House of the Representatives Abdul Razak, heads of central government representative agencies, leaders of higher education institutions, heads of provincial government organizations, as well as the administrator and supervisory officials.
