Governor Sugianto Sabran and Agustiar Sabran Distributed Aid to Tumbang Rungan
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. The volunteers for H. Sugianto Sabran and H. Agustiar Sabran distributed food packages to Tumbang Rungan Village, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya, Friday (1/5/2020). The aid is distributed and accompanied by local village officials as well as Babinsa and Babinkamtibmas.
The volunteers for H. Sugianto Sabran and H. Agustiar Sabran traveled to every spot of Palangka Raya distributing aid to poor people. This caring action is carried out every day. Although most of the volunteers fast during this Ramadhan, it does not prevent the will to share. As instructed by H. Sugianto Sabran as Governor of Central Kalimantan and H. Agustiar Sabran as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Central Kalimantan Electoral Region, the assistance was distributed door-to-door. Thus, the need really reached and was on target.
The aid was a personal assistance from H. Sugianto Sabran and H. Agustiar Sabran because the assistance which is supposed to be from Central and Provincial Government budgets could not be distributed. Assistance from government budget is still in the process of carefull data collection to avoid overlapping recipient data. This must be done because the use of government budget must be properly accounted to avoid dealing with law enforcement authorities. “It must be properly recorded accurately. Do not let the wrong target be given because there are already standards or criteria of the community that deserve assistance,” Governor Sugianto explained.
In the current condition of Covid-19 Pandemic (Corona), Governor Sugianto also constantly reminded the public to comply with the health protocol for handling Covid-19. People are reminded to obey the Central and Regional Government’s call to maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle, use masks, wash hands with soap in running water, keep a distance, stay at home when there is no urgent need, worship at home, and not leave the area or going home/ homecoming.
For the community at this time must stay at home, can spare their time, among others by cultivating plants in pots or polybags. The community can use their yard or garden to cultivate vegetables or family medicinal plants. Various vegetables and herbs such as chili, cucumber, carrots, celery and lettuce, as well as medicinal plants such as lime, ginger, galingale, turmeric, cardamom, and ginger can be produced at home while having spare time. “Thus, expense cost can be reduced because the herbs and vegetables are not bought. We alone can change our destiny. Don’t be shy and let be proud in working or doing business, the most important thing is halal,” added Governor Sugianto Sabran. (sty/ran/ist/translated by feb)
