Covid-19 Positive Cases in Central Kalimantan Have Exceeded Number of 600
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Positive cases of Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan have exceeded the number of 600, reaching 607 cases today, Sunday (06/14/2020), or increased by 23 cases from the previous day. This was conveyed by the Central Kalimantan Task Force for Covid-19 Handling Acceleration in its release at 3 p.m. today.
Of the 23 additional cases, 11 of them were found in Palangka Raya; 3 cases respectively found in West Kotawaringin, Pulang Pisau, and Gunung Mas; and 1 case respectively found in Lamandau, East Barito and North Barito.
Until now, positive confirmed Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan, which reportedly died has reached 35 people or increased by 2 people from yesterday. Meanwhile, 238 people were recovered and 334 people were still being treated.
A total of 334 Covid-19 patients who are still in the treatment, spread in several hospitals in Central Kalimantan, namely 108 patients in RSUD dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya, 36 patients in RSUD Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan Bun, 13 patients in RSUD dr. Murjani Sampit, 70 patients in Quarantine Place of Local Government and Soemarno Sosroadmodjo Regional Hospital Kapuas, 17 patients in Puruk Cahu Regional Hospital, 1 person in Ulin District Hospital Banjarmasin, 17 patients in Siloam Palangka Raya Hospital, 3 patients in Mas Amsyar Kasongan Hospital, 5 patients in Jaraga Sasameh Buntok Hospital, 11 patients in Palangka Raya Hospital, 1 patient in Muara Teweh Regional Hospital, 12 patients in Bhayangkara Hospital, 11 patients in Lamandau Regional Hospital, 7 patients in Military Hospital, 7 patients of self-isolation, 4 patients in Kuala Kurun Regional Hospital, 2 patients in Betang Pambelum Hospital, 1 patient in RSI PKU Muhammadiyah, and 2 patients in Tamiang Layang Regional Hospital.
In the release of Central Kalimantan Task Force for Covid-19 Handling, it was also mentioned that the Person under Investigation (ODP) in Central Kalimantan reached 228 people or increased by 2 people, with the most PDP found in East Kotawaringin, which are 83 people.
In contrast to ODP, the number of people with close contact without symptoms (OTG) actually decreased significantly by 301 people, from 1,548 yesterday to 1,247 today. The highest number of OTG found in Murung Raya, which are 321 people.
The number of Patients Under Investigation (PDP) in Central Kalimantan increased, namely 1 person, to 87 people today. Meanwhile, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests have been conducted to 2,697 people, with 607 people positive for Covid-19, 753 people negative, and the remaining 1,337 people being examined.
Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran has always reminded all Regency / City Governments to continuously provide education to people in their respective regions to always comply with the Covid-19 health protocol, moreover the spread of Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan has experienced a quite high surge in recent weeks, especially in Palangka Raya and Kapuas Regency. “How we can familiarize people to be disciplined “Both Regents and Neighbourhood Heads do not get tired of educating community, so that they will continue to use masks, wash their hands with soap and clean water, and keep their distance,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.

In addition to increasing socialization on Covid-19 health protocols and clean and healthy lifestyles in the midst of a pandemic, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government in collaboration with various related parties has also distributed masks proportionally in 14 districts / cities.
