PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin attends the Agrarian Reform Coordination Meeting for Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, and West Kalimantan Province at Eka Hapakat Hall, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Tuesday (9/11/2021).

This coordination meeting aimed to accelerate the implementation of agrarian reform as mandated by Presidential Regulation Number 86 of 2018 on Agrarian Reform and Presidential Regulation Number 88 of 2017 on Settlement of Land Tenure in forest areas, particularly in Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, and West Kalimantan.

When officially opening the coordination meeting, the Deputy for Coordination of Regional Development and Spatial Planning of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Wahyu Utomo, said that agrarian reform is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) that is of concern to President Joko Widodo.

“Ladies and gentlemen, today’s coordination meeting is motivated by agrarian reform as has been emphasized many times by President Joko Widodo, the last of which was at a limited meeting of the evaluation of the National Strategic Project on May 29, 2020,” he said.

Furthermore, the Deputy for Coordination of Regional Development and Spatial Planning of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Wahyu Utomo, said that there is a need for joint commitment and coordination among the Central Government, Ministries/Agencies, and Provincial/Regency/City Governments to accelerate the agrarian reform.

“There should be a commitment from all of us, ladies and gentlemen, coordination from the Central Government, Ministries/Institutions, and also from the Regions, both Provinces/Regencies and Cities to accelerate the legalization of transmigration land and land redistribution from the forest areas release,” said the Deputy for Coordination Regional Development and Spatial Planning of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Wahyu Utomo.

Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin hopes that this agrarian reform can be a solution related to land ownership, so it can improve people’s welfare.

“Our hope with this agrarian reform that it can reduce social inequality and land ownership which have impact on the prosperity and welfare of the people,” said the Acting Provincial Secretary.

On that occasion, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin said that agrarian reform is very much in line with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution.

“So, we really hope that the purpose of this agrarian reform can be implemented as well as possible, it will have an impact on the welfare of the community as mandated by the 1945 Constitution through the acceleration of land rights certification,” he explained.

Also attending the event were Assistant Deputy for Spatial Planning and Land Affairs of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Dodi Slamet Riyadi, Director for Inauguration and Management of Forest Areas of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Herban Heryanda, Head of the Central Kalimantan Regional Office of National Land Agency, Elijas Tjahajadi, and heads of other related institutions.
