PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin virtually opened the 2022 Central Kalimantan Bureaucratic Reform Workshop, Thursday (24/2/2022). The activity, which was facilitated by the Bureaucratic Reform Team of Central Kalimantan Province, brought the theme “Strategies to Optimize the Implementation of Bureaucratic Reform in Realizing a World-Class Bureaucracy in 2024”.

In his speech, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin emphasized, “Referring to today’s theme, the implementation of this workshop is certainly required to produce strategies in an effort to optimize the implementation of bureaucratic reform.”

The Secretary recognized that it was not as easy as turning the palm of the hand. However, the Secretary believed that this can be realized if all levels from the top management level to the staff below were able to implement a healthy bureaucracy.

Furthermore, the Secretary asked the agents of change, assessors, and administrators who manage bureaucratic reform within the Provincial Government and Regency/Municipality Governments that have been determined through the Decree of the respective Regional Heads so that they can carry out their duties as well as possible, synergize with each other, and establish good coordination.

According to the Secretary, the very strategic position and role of agents of change, assessors, and administrators of bureaucratic reform will determine the success of implementing bureaucratic reform whose duties and functions are to assist Regional Heads in realizing the ideals of bureaucratic reform which are contained in 8 areas of change: mental apparatus, organization, management, laws and regulations, human resources of the apparatus, supervision, accountability, and public services.

The Secretary hoped that this activity can provide great benefits and impact on the successful implementation of bureaucratic reform in Central Kalimantan Province which will be evaluated annually and given a score or index of achievement from the bureaucratic reforms that have been implemented.

“Therefore, let us be serious in comprehending this bureaucratic reform. It is not merely about a high index but more importantly about the implementation which is positive, clean, and healthy that is rooted from within each of us, so that the 8 areas of change will be reflected eventually from each of us,” concluded the Secretary Nuryakin.

Previously, in his report, Assistant for General Administration Lies Fahimah said that the purpose and objective of this activity was to increase comprehension of the implementation of bureaucratic reform. This activity was also carried out to synchronize perceptions and steps in improving the quality of the implementation of bureaucratic reform in Central Kalimantan Province.

Being present virtually at this activity were the Governor’s Expert Staff for Government, Law, and Politics Herson B. Aden, the Assistant for Government and Welfare Katma F. Dirun, and the Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung. This activity was also attended virtually by the heads of office/agency/work unit within the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government and the Assistant for General Administration, Inspector, Head of Human Resources Development, Division Head of Organization, and Division Head of Legal from regencies/municipality throughout Central Kalimantan.
