PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force delivered a Press Release on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, on the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Kalimantan until 03.00 p.m.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team, as well as the Central Covid-19 Handling Task Force, said that the government was securing the availability of domestic Covid-19 medicines in order to anticipate the surge in cases due to the Covid-19 variants. Currently, the government has secured a stock of 400 thousand tablets of molnupiravir (an anti-virus drug) from PT Amarox. PT Amarox itself will produce molnupiravir in April or May 2022 and in the future it is also expected to be able to produce praxlovid, one of the Covid-19 medicines. It is hoped that all products that are critical in handling Covid-19 or other possible pandemics can be produced domestically, so that we will not depend on other countries.

As for the number of accumulated data on positive confirmed Covid-19 patients in Central Kalimantan, there was an addition of 1 person, bringing the total to 46733 people.
