PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government held a customary procession of land and water release to be brought to Nusantara State Capital in the North Penajam Paser area, East Kalimantan.

The Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo attended the series of events for the land and water release throughout the Central Kalimantan Province, which took place in front of the Lobby of the Isen Mulang Palace, Governor’s Residence Complex, Palangka Raya on Saturday (12/3/2022) morning.

In connection with the stipulation of the Nusantara State Capital in East Kalimantan Province, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and all Governors throughout Indonesia are planned to make a working visit to the kilometer zero-point of State Capital. Then, in the agenda of these activities, the unification of land and water from regions throughout Indonesia will also be carried out.

Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran in his written remarks delivered by Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo said that this event was part of a series of working visits by the President of the Republic of Indonesia to the kilometer zero-point of State Capital as well as carrying out the unification of land and water from regions throughout Indonesia.

“This is a historical moment, when we together take a role to be an important part of the dynamics and journey of the Indonesian nation. On March 14, 2022, we will together witness an invaluable event, namely the unification of land and water from all regions throughout Indonesia at the kilometer zero-point of State Capital. A precious event that becomes a symbol of the unification of all elements of the nation towards a New Indonesia,” said Governor Sugianto in his speech read by the Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo.

In addition, through Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo, Governor Sugianto Sabran explained that this opportunity proved that Central Kalimantan is an inseparable part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. “Together with all regions in Indonesia, we welcome it enthusiastically and we have great hope for this nation. We must believe that all government efforts, in particular the formation of State Capital, are for the benefit of all the nation’s generation. The development of the Indonesian nation is our shared hope and goal which in the end will also have an impact on the development of the Central Kalimantan Province,” said the Governor.

Previously, the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin in his report stated that the soil taken as a symbol came from Bukit Batu Kasongan, Katingan Regency. Bukit Batu is known as the hermitage place of the National Hero Tjilik Riwut.

“This activity is a follow-up to the Regional Secretary Meetings throughout Indonesia with the Presidential Secretariat. Following up on this, the first step we took was to take the soil in Bukit Batu and Kutaringin Sultanate Complex in Pangkalan Bun and take water at the confluence of the Kahayan and Rungan rivers, Palangka Raya”, explained the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin.

Furthermore, the Acting Provincial Secretary stated that the Central Kalimantan Governor also ordered the taking of land and water from all Regencies/Municipality and from 11 Watersheds in Central Kalimantan. The entire land and water were then brought to Palangka Raya to be combined.

Governor Sugianto Sabran wished a successful journey to the entourage and hoped that the entourage would arrive at their destination safely. Through Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo, Governor Sugianto Sabran handed over the symbol of land and water to the entourage to be brought to State Capital following the procession of unification of land and water from all regions throughout Indonesia.

“With the blessings of Allah SWT, God Almighty, by saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, we handed over land and water from all regencies/municipality throughout Central Kalimantan to the entourage so that later they could be united with land and water from all regions in Indonesia,” said Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo.

Then the event continued with a prayer and a customary procession “tampung tawar” customary leaders, religious leaders, community leaders, and representatives from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government. After the customary procession, Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo, accompanied by the Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, and the officials present, officially released the entourage carrying the symbol of land and water throughout Central Kalimantan to go to Nusantara State Capital in East Kalimantan Province.

Also attending the event were the Governor’s Expert Staff for Government, Law, and Politics Herson B. Aden, the Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung, a number of Heads of Regional Apparatuses of Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, the Central Kalimantan Dayak Customary Council, the descendants of Bakumpai Family, the descendants of Bubuhan Banjar, religious leaders, and community leaders.
