PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan through the National Unity, Politics and Community Protection Agency (Kesbangpol), held a Dialogue on the Development of Religious Harmony since Early Age in 2022, Wednesday (22/06/2022), at the Eka Hapakat Hall, Governor’s Office.

The implementation of this guidance is intended to instill understanding in students to be able to understand and tolerate the diversity of religions, ethnicities, and groups in the school environment and the surrounding community. Meanwhile, the aim is to provide understanding to the younger generation, especially students, to build harmonization and tolerance in diverse schools and communities in order to strengthen the unity and integrity of the nation.

“This event, which is routinely held two to three times a year by the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, is in order to foster our togetherness,” said the Assistant for Government and Public Welfare Katma F. Dirun who was present on behalf of Governor Sugianto Sabran when opening the activity.

“Speaking of differences, humans were created by God to be different, but not to be differentiated. We must respect each other, appreciate, and tolerate each other,” he said.

On this occasion, Katma F. Dirun asked the participants to take part in this dialogue activity properly, carefully, and seriously. “Hopefully this dialogue will bring even more benefits. With the knowledge gained, all participants can better understand that we are one person. Every difference deserves our respect and appreciation,” concluded Katma F. Dirun.

The targets of this activity are students at the public and private high school levels in the city of Palangka Raya. Participants consisted of students from SMAN 1, SMAN 2, SMAN 3, SMKN 1, SMKN 2, SMKN 3, Muhammadiyah High School, and Karsa Mulia SMK, totaling 80 people. The resource persons in this activity were from the Representative Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Central Kalimantan and the Head of the National Unity, Politics and Community Protection Agency of Central Kalimantan.
