PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Provincial Government received assistance in form of Oxygen Concentrators from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo, to support health care for COVID-19 patients, especially in Emergency Unit (ER) services.

The assistance of hundreds of Oxygen Concentrators from the President arrived today, Thursday afternoon (05/08/2021), and was received directly by the Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran, at Isen Mulang VIP Room, Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangka Raya.

“Thank God, today by the Citylink plane from Surabaya, we have received 133 units of Oxygen Concentrator, which are very much needed by Central Kalimantan people,” explained Governor Sugianto Sabran.

Accompanying the Governor to receive the assistance were Vice Governor H. Edy Pratowo, Chief of Regional Police Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo, Regional Military Commander 102/PJG Brigadier General Purwo Sudaryanto, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin, Head of Provincial Health Office Suyuti Syamsul, and Executive General Manager Angkasa Pura. Governor Sugianto Sabran then revealed that the assistance in form of Oxygen Concentrators would help overcome the problem of the availability of oxygen cylinders, which is expected to reduce the death rate due to COVID-19 in Central Kalimantan. “So, Oxygen Concentrators are intended for ER centers, in hospitals. Hopefully, this assistance from the President can reduce the increase of the death rate in Central Kalimantan,” said the Governor.

Therefore, Governor Sugianto Sabran expressed his gratitude to President Joko Widodo’s great concern to the handling of COVID-19 in Central Kalimantan. “We, the people of Central Kalimantan and the members of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Central Kalimantan pray for Mr. President to be healthy, live a long life, and be protected by Allah SWT, God Almighty, in carrying out his duties for our state,” said the Central Kalimantan Governor.

On this occasion, Governor also emphasized a strong commitment of all components in Central Kalimantan in efforts to handle the COVID-19 pandemic. “I represent the people of Central Kalimantan, I and the Chief of Regional Police and the Regional Military Commander of 102/Panju Panjung are moving, we are working hard to fight COVID at the direction of the President. Hopefully COVID-19 in Indonesia can be suppressed soon,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.

Furthermore, today there were 2 deliveries of the aid; in the afternoon by Citylink aircraft as many as 133 units and in the afternoon by Garuda Indonesia aircraft as many as 195 units, so the number of Oxygen Concentrators from the President which arrived today was 328 units.
