PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force team delivered a press release on the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic on Saturday, February 5, 2022. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team, as well as the Central Covid-19 Task Force, said that isolation is a form of controlling mechanism of Covid-19 cases at the community level, is intended for people who are confirmed positive. Provisions vary depending on the severity of symptoms in each individual.

Government Spokesperson for Handling Covid-19 Prof. Wiku Adisasmito asked people in isolation to be aware of their health conditions, ranging from mild to severe symptoms. The severity of Covid-19 symptoms is divided into 4 levels: No Symptoms, Mild Symptoms, Moderate Symptoms and Severe Symptoms.

If the patient has finished treatment at the hospital, the hospital will refer the patient back to the local Health Center. After treatment, the patient has the right to receive monitoring from the Health Center officer for 7 consecutive days. During monitoring, it is important to periodically report the results of measurements of blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.

For this reason, a person is declared to complete isolation for asymptomatic (OTG) after self-isolation for at least 10 days. For those who are symptomatic, they perform at least 10 days of isolation after being examined with diagnostic test equipment, plus at least 3 days free of symptoms of fever and respiratory problems. If there are symptoms after the 10th day, then the self-isolation is still continued until these symptoms disappear and the self-isolation continues for additional 3 days.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team appealed that in addition to vaccination, the implementation of health protocols as a living habit is a demand in during the Covid-19 pandemic. Some people have complied with health protocols, but there are still others who lack the awareness to apply the 4M principles: wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds.

The number of accumulated data on the development of Covid-19 as of today, Saturday (5/2/2022): positive confirmed Covid-19 patients in Central Kalimantan increased by 40 people, bringing the total to 46903. There were no patients recovered, so the total remained 45156 people. And, there were no patients died, so the total remained 1591 death cases, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

The press release conveyed  the development of Covid-19 data, where as many as 6 regencies and 1 municipality were affected. Confirmation cases increased by 40 people: 19 people in Palangka Raya, 7 people in East Kotawaringin, 1 person in Lamandau, 1 person in Pulang Pisau, 7 people in Kapuas, 3 people in Gunung Mas, and 2 people in East Barito, so from 46863 people increased to 46903 people. There were no patients recovered so the data remained 45156 people. There was an increase by 40 people for patients under treatment, so from 116 people to 156 people. There are no additional cases of death, so the data remained 1591 people.

Furthermore, regarding Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), Intensive Beds got an increase in Bed Occupancy (2.40%), so from 11.90% to 26.83%, in which no Regencies/Municipality had BOR above 50%, while the Insulation Beds had an increase in Bec Occupancy (0.48%), so from 2.40% to 2.88%, where there were no Regencies/Municipality whose BOR was above 50%. Regarding the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for Central Kalimantan Province has reached 88.92%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I Vaccination.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team reminded all Central Kalimantan people to continue to comply with health protocols to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. “For those who are not aware of the health protocols, remember! 4M is mandatory: wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds so that Covid-19 will soon end in Central Kalimantan and all over the world,” said the Task Force Team.
