PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Covid-19 Handling Task Force of Central Kalimantan delivered a press release on the progress of handling Covid-19 on Saturday (10/7/2021). The Covid-19 Task Force Team of Central Kalimantan said, “During the Emergency PPKM which takes place from 3-20 July 2021, we must minimize many activities outside home to reduce the risk of being exposed to Covid-19, one of which is eating at a restaurant / food stall. One thing that can be done is to order food online.”

“Ordering food online is safer then make cashless transaction to avoid contact with the couriers. Then don’t forget to keep your distance when receiving orders, as well as wearing mask when interacting with the courier who delivers our order. Replace the food package into our own and immediately throw the packaging in the trash. Don’t forget to wash your hands with soap and running water before touching the food and after disposing the food packaging. Finally, reheat the food before eating. Just stay at home, don’t hang out. The 4M discipline and vaccination remain a joint effort,” said the Task Force Team.

The Covid-19 Task Force Team of Central Kalimantan appealed that in addition to vaccination, the implementation of health protocols as a living habit is a demand in overcoming the Covid-19. Some people have complied with health protocols, but there are still others who are lack of awareness to comply with 4M principles (wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds).

The number of accumulated data on Covid-19 as of today, Saturday (10/7/2021), namely positive confirmed Covid-19 patients in Central Kalimantan increased by 232 people, with a total of 27969 cases. The addition of patients who were declared cured was 174 people, with a total of 24595 cases. And, 6 patients were declared dead, bringing the total to 759 people, with a case fatality rate (CFR) of 2.7%.

In its press release, the Covid-19 data shows as many as 13 regencies and 1 municipality have been affected. Confirmation cases have increased to 232 people; in Palangka Raya (79 people), Katingan (9 people), East Kotawaringin (36 people), West Kotawaringin (49 people), Sukamara (19 people), Pulang Pisau (3 people), Gunung Mas (35 people), and South Barito (2 people) from 27737 to 27969 people in total. There were 174 people recovered, namely in Palangka Raya (23 people), Katingan (26 people), East Kotawaringin (22 people), West Kotawaringin (7 people), Lamandau (64 people), Sukamara (6 people), Pulang Pisau (1 person), and Murung Raya (25 people), from 24421 to 24595 people. Suspected cases have decreased by 38 people, from 728 to 690 people. There are no additional Probable Cases, so it remains 99 people. There were additional 52 people under treatment, from 2563 to 2615 people.

Furthermore, the Neighborhood (RT) Zoning for Active Cases has increased by 2 RTs, from 7 RTs for Red Zone (0.06%) to 7 RTs (0.06%), 73 RTs for Zone Orange (0.63%) to 72 RTs ( 0.63%, and 669 RTs for Yellow Zone (5.81%) to 672 RT (5.84%). Bed Usage in Hospitals (BOR) experienced a decrease in Bed Usage (0.2%), from 50.9% to 50.7%, where there were 5 Regencies/Municipality with BOR above 50%, namely in Palangka Raya, Murung Raya, Kapuas, West Kotawaringin, and Sukamara. The achievement of the vaccination target, namely Health Care Phase I at 108.94% and Phase II at 101.99%, Public Service Phase I at 108.98% and Phase II at 59.09%, Elderly Stage I at 34.80% and Stage II of 14.68%, Public, Vulnerable, and Youth Stage I of 6.93% and Stage II of 1.58%.

The Covid-19 Task Force Team of Central Kalimantan reminded all Central Kalimantan people to continue to comply with health protocols and break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. “For those who are not aware of the health protocols, remember! It is mandatory for 4M, wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds so that this Covid-19 will soon end in Central Kalimantan and throughout the world,” said the Task Force Team.
