PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force through the Public Communications Team, released the progress of handling the COVID-19 pandemic on Sunday (6/3/2022) until 03.00 p.m. In the written release, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force Team also conveyed information from the Central COVID-19 Handling Task Force regarding tips for maintaining ear health.

The Central COVID-19 Task Force said that the COVID-19 pandemic changed communication style by utilizing digital technology. One of the most noticeable is the increasing use of headsets or earphones. In fact, if they are used excessively, these devices can cause hearing loss.

Then, the Central COVID-19 Task Force conveyed further to prevent this from happening. Several things can be done, such as avoiding high volume (at 60% is sufficient), putting off the headset after 1 hour using, and resting for 1 hour. Then, you can also do regular ear examinations to clean earwax, at least every 6 months.

Furthermore, in today’s release, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force Team conveyed the accumulated data up to Sunday (6/3/2022) at 03.00 p.m. It was stated that there were 149 confirmed cases, namely in Palangka Raya (54 people), Katingan (15 people), East Kotawaringin (5 people), Lamandau (7 people), Sukamara (3 people), Seruyan (5 people), Pulang Pisau (5 people), Kapuas (19 people), Gunung Mas (16 people), South Barito (14 people), East Barito (2 people), North Barito (3 people), and Murung Raya (1 person), so from 54,483 people to 54,632 people.

Furthermore, it was also conveyed that the recovery status had increased by 234 people, namely in Palangka Raya (103 people), Katingan (11 people), East Kotawaringin (20 people), West Kotawaringin (9 people), Lamandau (1 person), Seruyan (7 people), Pulang Pisau (15 people), Kapuas (6 people), Gunung Mas (29 people), South Barito (15 people), and North Barito (18 people), so from 48,978 people to 49,212 people.

There was a decrease of 87 patients under treatment, so from 3,883 people to 3,796 people. Meanwhile, the death cases increased by 2 people, namely in East Kotawaringin (1 person) and in Kapuas (1 person), so that from 1,622 to 1,624 death cases, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.0%.

For Bed Occupancy in Hospitals (BOR), Intensive Beds increased in Bed Occupancy (1.28%), so that from 48.72% to 50.00%, where there were 2 regencies and 1 municipality with BOR above 50 %, namely East Kotawaringin, West Kotawaringin, and Palangka Raya. Meanwhile, Insulation Beds increased in Bed Occupancy (0.38%), so from 19.06% to 19.45%, in which there were 3 regencies with BOR above 50%, namely Murung Raya, East Kotawaringin , and South Barito.

Then, the Task Force also mentioned the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, of which the realization of Dose I Vaccination at the Central Kalimantan Province level had reached 92.95%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I Vaccination.

In addition, according to Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 14 of 2022 dated February 28, 2022 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 and Optimizing the Corona Virus Disease 2019 Handling Post at the Village and Sub-District Levels to Control the transmission of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua. For regencies/municipality in Central Kalimantan Province, there are two criteria, namely Level 2 and Level 3 which are valid until March 14, 2022.

Regencies/municipality with these criteria, namely: Level 2 consists of West Kotawaringin and Sukamara; and Level 3 consists of East Kotawaringin, Kapuas, South Barito, North Barito, Katingan, Seruyan, Lamandau, Gunung Mas, Pulang Pisau, Murung Raya, East Barito, and Palangka Raya.

The Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force team always reminds the entire community to remain disciplined in complying with health protocols and supporting the Government’s efforts to break the chain of the COVID-19 transmission. “Those who are not aware of the health protocols, remember! 5M is mandatory, namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap in running water or using hand sanitizer, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and limiting mobility. Then also to be disciplined in carrying out 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) and immediately get vaccinated so that more people are protected and this COVID-19 will soon pass in Central Kalimantan and all over the world,” the Task Force Team urged.
