PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force again delivered a Press Release on the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic until Wednesday (05/01/2022) at 15.00 p.m.

In a statement released this time, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force said that full-capacity Face-to-face Learning (PTM) had been carried out in various schools since the beginning of this week. Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Prof. Wiku Adisasmito suggested that elements of education such as teachers and parents, should be encouraged to become elements of the Health Protocols Task Force in each region.

It is hoped that this task force will continue to coordinate with the Covid-19 Task Force at the respective Regency/City Levels in order to maintain discipline during the teaching and learning process of education elements, both teachers and students.

The condition of cases in Indonesia which is under control is a consideration for implementing full capacity PTM. One of the considerations is the condition of the Omicron variant cases in Indonesia, the majority of which still come from travelers and communication transmissions and have been handled with necessary care.

“In addition to these considerations and various considerations of the national case which is quite controlled, as well as the readiness of the education elements and simulations that have been carried out, the PTM decision with full capacity will still be carried out,” explained Wiku.

Furthermore, data of Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan was conveyed today, where there were 3 additional Confirmation Cases: 1 person in Palangka Raya, 1 person in Katingan, and 1 person in West Kotawaringin, bringing the total from 46,719 to 46,722. Recovered patients have added to 3 people: 1 person in West Kotawaringin and 2 people in Sukamara, bringing the total to 45,121 people. There are no additional patients under treatment, so there are still 13 people. There were no additional cases of death, it remained 1,588 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

For Bed Occupancy Rate in Hospitals (BOR), Intensive Beds did not change, the Bed Occupancy (0.00%), so it remained at 14.29%, where no Regency/Municipality had BOR above 50%, while Isolation experienced an increase in Bed Occupancy (0.03%), from 0.88% to 0.91%, where there was no Regency/ Municipality whose BOR was above 50%.

For the achievement of vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for Central Kalimantan Province has reached 80.26%. The regency that has not yet reached 70% is Gunung Mas (68.37%).

For the achievement of the vaccination target for teachers and education personnel, High Schools (SMA), and equivalent vocational schools (SMK), the realization of PNS/GTT/PTT Vaccination did not increase so it remained at 6,258 or 79.01%. the first dose vaccination for SMA/SMK did not have any change, it was still at 73.202 or 76,95% and the second dose for SMA/SMK did not have any change either, so it remained at 32,403 or 34.06%.
