PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force again delivered a Press Release regarding the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic until Monday (03/01/2022) at 15.00 p.m.

In a statement released this time, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force said that as of December 31, 2021, Omicron cases in Indonesia increased to 68 people who were Foreign Travel Actors (PPLN). A total of 11 of them were identified as foreigners with a travel history, mostly from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.

He further stated that 29 people were asymptomatic, 29 people had mild symptoms, 1 person had moderate symptoms, and 9 people didn’t have any information. The total number of Omicron cases until the end of 2021 reached 136 people. “Therefore, do avoid traveling abroad or to other locations if it is not essential,” the Task Force Team urged.

‘We must work together to protect those closest to us from Covid-19. Stay disciplined with health protocols, immediately get Covid-19 vaccination, and comply with applicable policies for the common good,” the Task Force Team added.

Furthermore, the data of Central Kalimantan’s Covid-19 was conveyed today, there were no additions to the new Confirmation Cases, there were still 46,715 people. There were 3 additional recovered patients, namely in West Kotawaringin (1 person) and Sukamara (2 people), a total of 45,117 people. There is a decrease of 3 patients under treatment; from 13 people to 10 people. There were no additional cases of death, still 1,588 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

For Bed Occupancy Rate in Hospitals (BOR), Intensive Beds did not change, the Bed Occupancy (0.00%), so it remained 11.90%, where there was no Regency/Municipality whose BOR was above 50%, while Insulation experienced a decrease in Bed Occupancy (0.31%), from 0.95% to 0.64%, where there was no Regency/Municipality whose BOR was above 50%.

For the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for the Central Kalimantan Province has reached 79.72%. The regency that has not yet reached 70% is Gunung Mas (67.96%).

For the achievement of the vaccination target for teachers and education personnel, High Schools (SMA), and equivalent vocational schools (SMK), the realization of PNS/GTT/PTT Vaccination did not increase so it remained at 6,258 or 79.01%, the first dose of SMA/SMK did not have any change, so it remained at 73.202 or 76.95%, and the second dose of SMA/SMK did not have any change either, so it remained at 32,403 or 34.06%.
