PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team delivered a press release on the progress of handling the Covid-19 on Saturday, May 29, 2021. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team urged the public not to get lost in receiving information. The public should sort out the information circulating in cyberspace. In a balanced way and it would be better to verify information from reliable sources. This is closely related to the circulation of fake news (hoax) which is closely related to efforts to deal with Covid-19.

Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Prof. Wiku Adisasmito also conveyed that the hoax news circulating today is one of them like a vaccine containing a magnet. Please note that vaccines do not contain magnets. Coins may stick to the skin due to the sweat that is produced naturally by the human skin and other friction forces. So that it creates a magnetic force.

For that, the public must look for facts of the information based on scientific evidence. And stay away from news or information whose sources are not credible. The good people stay away from sources whose origins are unclear. And do verification through the official channels for handling Covid-19 or through news in the mass media. Because if the public spreads unverified information, it is tantamount to spreading fake news (hoax). And surely it also hinders the government’s efforts to deal with Covid-19.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team conveyed the accumulated amount of data as of Saturday, May 29, 2021, there were 155 positive confirmed patients for Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan with a total of 22,323 cases. Additional 68 patients were recovered with a total of 20,592 cases. There was an increase of 4 people dead, bringing the total to 597 people or with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 2.7 percent.

In this press release, again the development of Covid-19 data was conveyed where 13 regencies and 1 municipality had been affected. In the confirmation case, there were additional 155 people, namely in Palangka Raya (21 people), Katingan (20 people), Kotim (40 people), Kobar (28 people), Sukamara (23 people), Seruyan (3 people), Pulpis (2 people), Kapuas (1 person), Gumas (10 people), Barsel (1 people), Barut (4 people), and Mura (2 people), from 22168 people to 22323 people. Recovered, there were additional 68 people, namely in Palangka Raya (32 people), Kotim (11 people), Kobar (3 people), Sukamara (9 people), Seruyan (3 people), Kapuas (1 person), Gumas (3 people), Barsel (3 people), and Mura (3 people), from 20524 people to 20592 people. In the case of suspect, there was a decrease of 11 people, from 314 people to 303 people. In the Probable case, there is an increase of 1, from 95 people to 96 people. Under treatment, there were additional 83 people, from 1051 people to 1134 people.
