PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin said that the 2021 family registry can be used in various forms of cross-sector cooperation between the central government, regional governments and all stakeholders.

This was stated by the Acting Provincial Secretary, Nuryakin, when delivering his remarks at the Opening of Dissemination on Family Registry in 2021 in Central Kalimantan, at Luwansa Hotel, Palangka Raya, on Tuesday (11/23/2021).

“The Central Government, Regional Governments and stakeholders at all regional levels can take advantage of the data from the 2021 family registry in various forms of cross-sector cooperation. Moreover, at this time we need efforts to accelerate the reduction of stunting in Central Kalimantan, so the results of this family registry should really be used to determine the locus of areas that require intensive handling,” he explained.

The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) has held the 2021 Family Registry (PK21) on April 1-June 20, 2021 simultaneously throughout Indonesia in order to provide accurate, valid, relevant and accountable family data by name by address.

When delivering his remarks, the Acting Provincial Secretary said that the 2021 family registry is expected to be able to produce policies that are based on empirical evidence, so as to present development programs that are right on target.

“After going through a long process and facing various challenges including the Covid-19 pandemic, geographical difficulties and limited information technology infrastructure, we are finally able to witness and enjoy the results of the hard work of all parties involved in the implementation of PK 21. We all certainly hope that the results of PK 21 can really trigger the birth of Evidence Based Policy or policies that are based on empirical evidence, so as to present development programs that are right on target,” he explained.

On this occasion, Acting Provincial Secretary, Nuryakin, hoped that the results of the 2021 family registry will benefit the welfare of the people of Central Kalimantan.

“We hope that the results of this PK 21 really produce the maximum benefit for the improvement of community welfare, especially in Central Kalimantan,” said the Acting Provincial Secretary when delivering his remarks.

Present at the event were the Head of Representative Office of the National Population and Family Planning Agency in Central Kalimantan Province Muhammad Irzal and the Acting Head of the Public Welfare Bureau Aryawan. (rik/bow/translated by feb)
