PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force chaired by Governor Sugianto Sabran delivered a Press Release regarding the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Central Kalimantan until 03.00 p.m., Friday (1/14/2022).

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team said that the Ministry of Health issued a Circular regarding the provisions for implementing the booster vaccine in January 2022. This Circular Number HK.02.02/II/252/2022, among other things, regulates the type of booster vaccine to be given in January 2022. Sinovac primary dose recipients will be given a booster in the form of half a dose of AstraZeneca vaccine (0.25 ml) or half a dose of Pfizer vaccine (0.15 ml). For primary dose recipients of AstraZeneca, a booster will be given in the form of half a dose of Moderna vaccine (0.25 ml) or a dose of Pfizer vaccine (0.15 ml).

In addition, this Circular regulates the conditions for receiving a booster vaccine, such as the recipients must be over 18 years old, and a priority scheme is set for the elderly and people with immune problems (immunocompromised) as well as for those who have received a complete primary dose of vaccination at least 6 months earlier. To be able to get it, the recipient needs to show his NIK by bringing his KTP or KK to the nearest health service facility or to register through PeduliLindung application. Pregnant women can get booster vaccination with the use of vaccines referring to Circular Letter of the Ministry of Health Number HK.02.01/1/2007/2021 on Covid-19 Vaccination for Pregnant Women and adjustments to screening in the implementation of Covid-19 vaccinations.

The implementation of the vaccination program for the Advanced Dose (booster) will take place simultaneously in all regencies/municipality for the elderly. Meanwhile, for non-elderly, it will take place when the area reaches a minimum dose coverage of Dose 1 of at least 70% and coverage of Dose 1 for Elderly at least 60%.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team conveyed that the number of accumulated data on positive confirmed Covid-19 patients in Central Kalimantan had an addition of 2 people, bringing the total to 46729 people. There was an addition of 3 people recovered, bringing the total to 45132 people. And, there were no additional patients died bringing the total to 1590 people.

He also conveyed the progress of the Covid-19 data that had been accumulated until 03.00 p.m., as follows: There was an addition of 2 people for confirmation case, namely 1 person in Lamandau and 1 person in Seruyan, so from 46727 people to 46729 people. There were 3 people recovered, namely 2 people in Palangka Raya and 1 person in Katingan, so from 45129 people 45132 people. There was a decrease of 1 person under treatment, so from 8 people to 7 people. There were no additional cases of death, so there were still 1590 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

For Bed Occupancy in Hospitals (BOR), Intensive Beds did not change in Bed Occupancy (0.00%), so that it remained 2.38%, where no Regency/Municipality had BOR above 50%, while Isolation experienced a decrease in Bed Occupancy (0.26%), so that from 1.38% to 1.12%, where there was no Regency/Municipality whose BOR was above 50%.

For the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for Central Kalimantan Province level has reached 82.46%. All regencies/municipality have achieved more than 70% of Dose I vaccination. To achieve the vaccination target for teachers and education personnel, high schools (SMA), and equivalent vocational schools (SMK), the realization of PNS/GTT/PTT Vaccinations has not increased so that it remains at 6,258 or 79.01%. There was no addition for the SMA/SMK dose, so it remained at 73,202 or 76.95%, and the second dose for SMA/SMK had no addition so it remained at 32,403 or 34.06%.

Based on Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 02 of 2022 dated January 3, 2022 on the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities at Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 and Optimizing the Command Post for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 at the Village and District Level to Control the Spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua, for regencies/municipality in Central Kalimantan Province, there are three criteria, namely Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 (valid until January 17, 2022). The regencies/municipality with these criteria include: Level 1 consists of East Kotawaringin, Kapuas, South Barito, North Barito, Seruyan, Lamandau, Gunung Mas, Pulang Pisau, and East Barito; Level 2, consists of West Kotawaringin, Katingan, Murung Raya, and Palangka Raya City; and Level 3 consists of Sukamara.
