Government is Committed to Meet Needs for Covid-19 Vaccine

PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Public Communications Team of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force of Central Kalimantan Province in a press release on Saturday (11/9/2021) said that the government is committed to meet the needs for vaccination program in Indonesia. Related to this, the government again received shipment of AstraZeneca vaccine as much as 500 thousand doses on Wednesday (8/9/2021).

Spokesperson for the Central Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, explained that the Covid-19 vaccine that continues to come to Indonesia is an effort by the government to increase the availability of vaccines in our country. “Thus, the vaccination program can run evenly in Indonesia and can protect all people from the transmission of Covid-19,” said Wiku.

Furthermore, said Wiku, in the future, the Indonesian government will receive several other types of vaccines, such as Pfizer as many as 639,990 doses. The AstraZeneca vaccine will also come in 2 stages, each with 615,000 doses and 358,700 doses. In addition, there will also be a Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The government expresses its appreciation to the people who are enthusiastic in participating in the vaccination program.

The Task Force team asked public to continue to support the vaccination program that the government is pursuing, in addition to implementing 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) as well as being disciplined in applying the 4M health protocols (wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds) in their daily lives.

In today’s press release, the Task Force Team also conveyed the data of Covid-19 that have been accumulated up to 15.00 p.m., where the Confirmation Case has an additional 72 people, namely in Palangka Raya (32 people), Katingan (8 people), East Kotawaringin (3 people), West Kotawaringin (2 people), Lamandau (1 person), Pulang Pisau (2 people), Kapuas (6 people), Gunung Mas (4 people), East Barito (8 people), North Barito (2 people), and Murung Raya (4 people), from 45055 people increased to 45127 people.

There are 132 recovered patients, namely in Palangka Raya (37 people), Katingan (13 people), East Kotawaringin (12 people), West Kotawaringin (7 people), Lamandau (3 people), Pulang Pisau (11 people), Kapuas (29 people), Gunung Mas (2 people), South Barito (7 people), North Barito (9 people), and Murung Raya (2 people), from 41832 people increased to 41964 people.

There was a decrease of 63 people under treatment, from 1691 people decreased to 1628 people. There were 3 additional deaths, namely 2 people in Palangka Raya and 1 person in Kapuas, from 1532 people increased to 1535 people, with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

Regarding the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) in hospitals, Intensive Beds have decreased Bed Occupancy (2.6%), from 47.4% to 44.7%, in which there are 1 Regency and 1 Municipality with BOR above 50%, namely East Kotawaringin and Palangka Raya. Meanwhile, Isolated Beds experienced a decrease in Used Beds (0.1%), from 13.0% to 12.8%, there were no regencies/municipality with BOR above 50%.

Meanwhile, related to the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,086,905, the realization of Phase I vaccination was 587,621 or 28.16% and Phase II was 362,736 or 17.38%. (ran/translated by feb)
