PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communication Team of Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force delivered a press release on the latest development data on COVID-19 cases in Central Kalimantan Province on Sunday (6/6/2021).

In today’s press release, it was conveyed that the Government through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and the Ministry of Religious Affairs had launched a Guide to Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) during COVID-19 pandemic, in line with the plans for face-to-face learning activities in schools that will begin to reopen in July 2021 or the New Academic Year.

According to the spokesperson for COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, this PTM guide is intended for the levels of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education (PAUDdikdasmen). The launch of this guide is in order to assist and facilitate teachers and education personnel in preparing for the implementation of Limited Face-to-face Learning.

It was also emphasized that all participating parties or stakeholders must be responsible from the beginning to the end of the flow of teaching and learning activities, including being ready to put the brakes on if new cases of COVID-19 are found in the educational environment.

Prior to its implementation, the Regional Government must ensure that the health, safety and security of students are top priorities. Later, the implementation of education can combine face-to-face learning and online learning, in order to ensure that the health and safety of education personnel and students continues to be a priority. The opening of the education sector will be carried out in stages, according to the readiness of each region.

To support the implementation of education, the Government also continues to make massive efforts by implementing COVID-19 vaccination for teachers and educators, either through vaccination according to priority stages or mass vaccination by distributing ready-to-use vaccines to various regions in Indonesia.

Furthermore, in today’s press release, the development of COVID-19 data in Central Kalimantan area which was collected accumulated on June 6, 2021 until 15.00 p.m., is as follows:(1) Affected zone, as many as 13 regencies and 1 municipality have been affected;(2) Confirmation cases, there are additional 45 people (Palangka Raya 19 people, West Kotawaringin 9 people, Sukamara 3 people, Pulang Pisau 6 people, Kapuas 2 people, East Barito 5 people, and Murung Raya 1 person); the total is 23,032 people;(3) Recovered, there were additional 73 people (23 people in Palangka Raya, 1 person in Katingan, 4 people in East Kotawaringin, 1 person in West Kotawaringin, 25 people in Sukamara, 9 people in Kapuas, 7 people in Gunung Mas, 2 people in East Barito, and 1 person in Murung Raya), so up today the number of people recovered is 21,213 people;(4) Cases of Death, there are additional 2 people (East Kotawaringin 1 person, and West Kotawaringin 1 person), bringing the total to 616 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 2.7%;(5) Under Treatment, there was a decrease of 30 people, so it became 1,203 people;(6) Suspect cases, there is an addition of 1 person, so it becomes 246 people;(7) Probable cases, there are no additions, so they remain 96 people;(8) The number of specimens, there was an addition of 318 people, so that there were 150,498 specimens in total.
