BUNTOK – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. During his working visit to South Barito, Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran also visited SMAN 1 Dusun Selatan on Thursday afternoon (01/23/2020).

Having planted paddy in Lembeng Village, Governor accompanied by the Regent of South Barito and his entourage continued their visit to SMAN 1 Dusun Selatan, Barito Selatan Regency.

Upon his arrival at SMAN 1 Dusun Selatan, South Barito Regency, Governor was welcomed by the Regional Secretary of South Barito Regency and Acting Principal of SMAN 1 Dusun Selatan.

At SMAN 1 Dusun Selatan, Governor held a meeting with the students of Class XI and XII from senior high schools / vocational schools/ state madrasah aliyah throughout  Dusun Selatan District.

On this occasion, Governor held a dialogue and questions-answers session with the students guided by Acting Principal of SMAN 1 Buntok.

In his remarks, Governor said that in addition to the sector of infrastructures and health, he also focused on improving the quality of human resources. “When infrastructures are well developed, people will flock to Central Kalimantan. If our human resources are not ready, then those who enjoy our resources may be probably people from outside Central Kalimantan,” Governor explained.

The Governor added that it was in line with the direction of President’s vision and mission, namely “Excellent Human Resources, Advanced Indonesia”.

During his visit, Governor also advised parents who were present to protect their children from drugs. In addition, the Governor advised students to study well and avoid promiscuity.

Previously, Acting Principal of SMAN 1 Dusun Selatan in his speech expressed his gratitude for Governor’s presence along with his entourage who were expected to encourage students in their schools to become excellent human resources.

This meeting was also attended by Acting Head of Transportation Office, Acting Head of Education Office, Acting Head of Social Service Office, Acting Head of Food Security Office, Head of Food Crop Horticulture and Livestock Office, Head of Public Settlemen Office, Head of Public Works and Public Housing Office, Head of Culture and Tourism Office, and Head of Cooperatives Office, Acting Head of Protocol and Public Communication Bureau, and Head of General Affairs Bureau.
