Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran leads a Video Conference of Team Meeting on Budget Realization Evaluation and Monitoring and the Kick Off of Procurement of Goods and Services Signing for 2020 held in Eka Hapakat Hall, the third floor of Central Kalimantan Governor’s Office Thursday 01/16/2020.

The symbolic signing of the contract which was then followed by the simultaneously signing in the regions was carried out after the Secretary of the Central Kalimantan Province Fahrizal Fitri submitted a report on the realization of the provincial and regency / city budget based on the Team Meeting on Budget Realization Evaluation and Monitoring until 31 December 2019. The budget realization report included financial realization and physical realization.

Today’s event was also continued with the Inauguration of Disaster Risk Reduction (flood, storm and landslide) and Land and Forest Fire Forum by Central Kalimantan Governor, and the Signing of MoU on the Implementation of Disaster Management in Central Kalimantan Province.

In his remarks read by Vice Governor Habib Ismail Bin Yahya, Central Kalimantan Governor said that many things could be learned and worked in last year. “Hopefully with the experiences we had last year, we can work better and be more active and more enthusiastic,” he said.

Governor hopes this activity can produce something useful both personally and for people in general for Central Kalimantan BERKAH.

In addition, the Team Meeting on Budget Realization Evaluation and Monitoring held today is hoped that the budget problems last year can be identified and evaluated so the same problems will not be experienced again in 2020.

On this occasion, Vice Governor Habib Ismail Bin Yahya stated there are three regencies in Central Kalimantan with the highest realization of budget absorption, namely Gunung Mas with financial realization of 94.28% and physical realization of 97.80%; Pulang Pisau with financial realization of 94.18% and physical realization of 99.16%; and Murung Raya with financial realization of 93.80% and physical realization of 94.83%.

All regional government organizations are urged to sign contracts for 2020 fiscal year not later than May 1, 2020. “This is as mandated by President at the National Coordination Meeting on November 6, 2019,” Vice Governor explained.

Regional government organizations are also advised to avoid the problem of failed or canceled auctions, in addition to the procurement of goods and services, it must be done on time because delays can affect the dynamics of the economy in the region.

Regarding the Inauguration of Disaster Risk Reduction (flood, storm and landslide) and Land and Forest Fire Forum, Governor said that disaster management is a joint matter. Furthermore, related to the signing of the MoU on disaster management, Governor said that it was a form of participation in suppressing, reducing, and even eliminating the risk of disasters in Bumi Tambun Bungai.

The question and answer session is expected to provide an overview of the technical implementation of goods and services procurement and disaster management of flood, storm, landslide, land and forest fire in Central Kalimantan.

Also present at the event today were the Leadership Coordination Forum of Central Kalimantan Province, Regents and Mayor of Central Kalimantan or the representatives, heads of regional government organizations of Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, heads of central representative offices  in Central Kalimantan, and the contract partners.

Vice Regents and Vice Mayor of Central Kalimantan held a video conference accompanied by the heads of their respective regional government organizations.

Meanwhile, at a press conference after the event, in connection with the disaster management fund, Governor hopes that fire-prone districts do not only depend on central or provincial government, but each regency should allocate a maximum of Rp. 5 billion for unexpected funds to their regional budget. Central Kalimantan province itself allocates Rp. 20 billion to cover any matter on land and forest fires. “Provincial Government will focus on prevention, which will take 2-3 months before entering a long dry season through some socializations involving village heads, neighborhood heads, customary leaders (Damang, Mantir), Fire Concerned Community, Indonesian National Armed Forces, and Indonesian Police,” Governor explained.
