TAMIANG LAYANG  – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran observed the road section of Hayaping-Patung in Hayaping Village, Patangkep Tutui District, Saturday (25/1/2020). On this working visit, Governor was accompanied by Regent and Vice Regent of East Barito, Head of Public Works and Public Housing of Central Kalimantan Province, Head of Housing, Settlement, and Spatial Planning of Central Kalimantan Province, and a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Agustiar Sabran.

This observation of Hayaping-Patung road section aimed to see the progress of the road works. Back to 2017 when Governor and his entourage crossed by this road, its condition was very poor and even cars could not pass by during rainy season.

“We try to see, we are controlling the road that we passed at dry season, and see whether the road is completely done at rainy season. And thank God it has been completed and it means the connectivity between residents and the flow of goods are all well. “This is all due to the coordination between Regents in Central Kalimantan and Governor,” explained Governor Sugianto Sabran.

Three roads, namely the Hayaping-Bentot, Hayaping-Hayaping, and the 40 km sections of Hayaping-Patung are targeted to be completely paved in 2020. At present, the length of the unpaved road is only 8 kilometers.

The day before, Friday (24/1/2020), Governor was accompanied by the Regent of East Barito and his entourage visited Embung Sirau in Haringin Village, Dusun Timur District. “This is to help the community for clean water,” explained Governor.

The damaged dam in the reservoir causes problems in the provision of clean water or raw water for Tamiang Layang in particular or East Barito in general, so that if damage such as seepage under the reservoir can be repaired, then the provision of raw water for the community will be provided even better.

After observing Embung Sirau, Governor and his entourage headed for Jaweten Village, Dusun Timur District to meet the community nearby the former roads of Pertamina. The Governor’s event with the community was held at village hall.

Governor hopes that former roads of Pertamina may become public roads or special roads without collecting fees from the public. “I hope these former roads of Pertamina may become public roads, there are no more brokers, we will improve them, we will set regulations and laws,” he said.

According to the Governor, the former roads of Pertamina will be paved if they become public roads or provincial roads. Meanwhile, if they become special roads, people can still pass them free of charge. “But entrepreneurs are still subjects to be charged a fee,” he added.

Governor stressed that his party would resolve disputes between companies and between companies with the community. For this reason, the public is asked to maintain order and security so that investors come and the community’s economy is increased, including the availability of 24-hour electricity.

Regarding education infrastructure, Governor has ensured that a leading school will have been built in East Barito next year. “2021, I am ensuring a leading school is built in East Barito,” said Governor at a meeting with the Head of District, Head of Sub-district, Head of Village, Chairperson of Village Development Body, Community leaders, and Customary leaders, as well as the small-medium enterprises actors in East Barito Regency, in Official Residence of East Barito Regent, Friday night (24/1/2020).

Governor asked the Head of the Provincial Education Office to build the leading school in accordance with their specifications. “Build the school as best as we could to help students become great humans in the future,” he explained.

The acceleration of development in Central Kalimantan is also in the context of moving the State Capital of which Central Kalimantan is one of the buffer regions and East Barito will be set as a special economic zone. “The most important thing is that people want to work hard,” Governor Sugianto Sabran said.
