PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. The Governor of Central Kalimantan, H. Sugianto Sabran, Sunday (06/14/2020) handed over Social Assistance for those affected by Covid-19 with total assistance to 7 billion and 13 million rupiah for 14,026 families in Katingan Regency.

The social assistance was symbolically handed over by Central Kalimantan Governor to the Regent of Katingan as well as five representatives of residents receiving aid worth 500 thousand rupiah for each family.

Governor Sugianto Sabran reminded that verification and validation of the recipient data are carried out carefully.

“I ask that the data of recipients for Social Assistance be verified so that it is right on target and does not violate the provisions of the law, no children or relatives of regional officials as the Social Assistance recipients,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.

The Regent of Katingan, Sakariyas said that the social assistance from Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, which would later be distributed through Bank Kalteng, became the hope of people affected by Covid-19, especially in meeting their daily needs.

“Residents expect assistance like this because it can be used to buy their daily necessities and needs,” Sakariyas said.

On the occasion, Governor Sugianto Sabran also asked Katingan Regency Officials as well as all Heads of the Neighborhood (RT) of not being tired educating society to remain obedient in implementing Covid-19 health protocols, such as wearing masks, keeping a distance, and washing their hands with soap and clean water.

Governor Sugianto also expressed his appreciation for the Katingan Taske Force for handling Covid-19. “I appreciate Katingan Regency Government in preventing Covid-19, there is a small positive number. So that this effort can be maintained by involving all elements of society,” he added.

The Governor stressed, “The presence of a leader is important in the midst of people who have difficulties.”

Also present at this event, among others, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III Election Region of Central Kalimantan Agustiar Sabran, Vice Regent of Katingan Sunardi NT Litang, Governor Expert Staff for Economy, Finance, and Development Yuas Elko, on duty chairperson of Central Kalimantan Task Force for Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Darliansjah, Acting Head of Provincial Social Service Office Rian Tangkudung, and Managing Director of Bank Kalteng.
