PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force through the Public Communications Team, released the progress of handling the COVID-19 pandemic on Saturday (26/3/2022) until 03.00 p.m. In the written release, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Team also conveyed information from the Central COVID-19 Handling Task Force regarding the provisions for worshiping in the month of Ramadan and homecoming for Eid.

The Central COVID-19 Task Force said that this year’s Ramadan, Muslims can carry out Tarawih prayers in congregation at mosques and have homecoming for Eid. This is in line with the condition of the COVID-19 pandemic which is slowly getting better, so that Lebaran homecoming is allowed. However, the relaxing of mobility for the return trip to their hometown must still comply with the requirements imposed by the Government. These provisions include the condition of having received two vaccines and one booster and still implementing strict health protocols, such as always wearing masks correctly and washing hands frequently.

Furthermore, in the release, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force Team conveyed the accumulated data until Saturday (26/3/2022) at 03.00 p.m., where there were 35 confirmed cases, namely in Palangka Raya 15 people. , Katingan 1 person, East Kotawaringin 4 people, West Kotawaringin 2 people, Lamandau 3 people, Sukamara 1 person, Seruyan 2 people, Kapuas 2 people, Gunung Mas 1 person, South Barito 1 person, East Barito 2 people, and Murung Raya 1 person, so from 56,344 people to 56,379 people.

There were 81 people recovered, namely in Palangka Raya 38 people, Katingan 5 people, East Kotawaringin 3 people, West Kotawaringin 7 people, Lamandau 6 people, Seruyan 3 people, Pulang Pisau 5 people, Kapuas 45 people, Gunung Mas 5 people, and South Barito 5 people, so from 53,682 people to 53,763 people.

While there was a decrease of 49 people under treatment, so from 1,006 people to 957 people. Meanwhile, there were 3 cases of death,namely 1 person in Pulang Pisau and 2 people in Kapuas, so from 1,656 people to 1,659 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 2.9%.

For Bed Occupancy in Hospitals (BOR), Intensive Beds increased in Bed Occupancy (7.89%), so that from 23.68% to 31.58%, in which no regencies/municipality had BOR above 50 %. Meanwhile, Insulation Beds increased in Bed Occupancy (0.23%), so from 10.83% to 11.06%%, in which there were 2 regencies with BOR above 50%, namely Murung Raya and Gunung Mas.

The Task Force also mentioned the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, of which the realization of Dose I Vaccination at the Central Kalimantan Province level had reached 96.06%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I Vaccination.

The Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force team always reminds the entire community to remain disciplined in complying with the health protocols and to support the Government’s efforts in breaking the chain of COVID-19 transmission. “Those who are not aware of the health protocols, remember! 5M is mandator (wearing masks, washing hands with soap in running water or using hand sanitizers, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and limiting mobility). Then, also to be disciplined in carrying out 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) and immediately get vaccinated so that more people are protected and this COVID-19 will soon end in Central Kalimantan and in all over the world,” the Task Force Team urged.
