After having surveyed the first rice harvest in Food Estate, Pulang Pisau Regency, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia Syahrul Yasin Limpo accompanied by Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran continued his working visit to Sukamara Regency.

Arriving at around 16.25 p.m. in Sukamara by helicopter, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo together with Governor Sugianto Sabran then directly observed the development of a cattle farm managed by PT Sukamara Ranch in Pantai Lunci District on Wednesday (10/2/2021) afternoon.

Also accompanying Minister of Agriculture in observing the cattle farm were the Regent of Sukamara Windu Subagio, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Sukamara Regency and also the Manager of PT Sukamara Ranch Dwi Hartanto.

In his press statement after the observation, Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo revealed that the development of cattle breeding in Sukamara Regency has very good prospects, especially since the national need for beef has to be met. Acceleration efforts need to be made in the future to support the development of these cows.

“I think this is a very prospective potential to be developed. And, with the Governor, I had a long conversation with the Regent to try to make more concrete calculations so that it could be accelerated more quickly. After all, nationally we need protein from animals. This is important,” said Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

Meanwhile, Governor Sugianto Sabran expressed his highest appreciation for the visit of Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo in order to see directly the development of national food security program in Central Kalimantan. Governor Sugianto also invited all elements of Central Kalimantan society to support and welcome the National Strategic Program with great enthusiasm, togetherness, and optimism for the development of Central Kalimantan.

“This is great. So, we are with the Minister of Agriculture, under the direction of the President, we visited the Food Estate in Pulang Pisau Regency. The Minister of Agriculture just stopped by South Kalimantan to hand over some aids, then went to Bataguh and Pulang Pisau first, next headed for Sukamara Regency to see this cattle farm. Yes, hopefully Central Kalimantan, let’s work hard, welcome this program with enthusiasm, togetherness and unity to build Central Kalimantan,” said Governor Sugianto Sabran.

After observing the cattle farm in Sukamara Regency, the Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, accompanied by Governor Sugianto Sabran, then headed for Iskandar Pangkalan Bun Airport, West Kotawaringin Regency.
