Ministry of Health Issues Circular on Adjustment of Implementation for Covid-19 Vaccination Advanced Dose for Public

PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force delivered a press release on the data of handling the Covid-19 pandemic on Saturday (5/3/2022). The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team, as well as the Central Covid-19 Task Force, said that the Ministry of Health issued Circular of Director General of Disease Prevention and Control Number SR.02.06/II/1180/2022 regarding Adjustment of the Implementation of Covid Vaccinations-19 Advanced Dose (Booster) for Public.

This regulation stated that the injection of a follow-up dose for the elderly and public can be given at least 3 months after receiving the full dose of vaccination.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team appealed that in addition to vaccination, the implementation of health protocols as a living habit is a demand in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The number of accumulated data as of today, Saturday (5/3/2022): there were 248 people confirmed positive for Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan, bringing the total to 54,483 people. There were 286 patients recovered bringing the total to 48,978 people and there were 2 death cases, bringing the total to 1622, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.0%.

Confirmation cases have added 248 people, namely in Palangka Raya (86 people), Katingan (5 people), East Kotawaringin (21 people), West Kotawaringin (19 people), Lamandau (5 people), Sukamara (1 person), Seruyan (6 people), Pulang Pisau (16 people), Kapuas (29 people), Gunung Mas (33 people), South Barito (14 people), East Barito (9 people) and North Barito (4 people) so from 54235 people to 54483 people. There were 286 people recovered, namely in Palangka Raya (89 people), Katingan (12 people), East Kotawaringin (28 people), West Kotawaringin (12 people), Lamandau (4 people), Sukamara (1 person), Seruyan (3 people), Pulang Pisau (3 people), Kapuas 80 (people), Gunung Mas (22 people), South Barito (9 people), East Barito (9 people), and Murung Raya (14 people), so from 48692 people to 48978 people.

There was a decrease of 40 people under treatment, so from 3923 people to 3883 people. There were 2 death cases, namely in East Kotawaringin (1 person) and in Gunung Mas (1 person), so from 1620 people to 1622 people.

Furthermore, for Bed Occupancy in Hospitals (BOR), Intensive Beds increased in Bed Occupancy (7.69%), so that from 41.03% to 48.72%, where there were 2 regencies and 1 municipality with BOR above 50%, namely East Kotawaringin Regency, West Kotawaringin Regency, and Palangka Raya. Meanwhile, Insulation Beds decreased in Bed Occupancy (0.06%), so that from 19.00% to 19.06%, in which there were 3 regencies with BOR above 50%, namely Murung Raya Regency, Kotawaringin Regency East, and South Barito Regency.

For the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for the Central Kalimantan Province level has reached 92.89%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I Vaccination.

According to Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 14 of 2022 dated February 28, 2022 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities at Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 and Optimizing the Command Post for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 at the Village and Sub-District Levels to Control the Transmission of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in the Sumatra Region , Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua, for districts/cities in Central Kalimantan Province, two criteria are applied, namely Level 2 and Level 3 (valid 1 to 14 March 2022).

The regencies/municipality with these criteria include: Level 2 includes namely West Kotawaringin and Sukamara and Level 3 includes South Barito, North Barito, Katingan, Pulang Pisau, East Barito, East Kotawaringin, Kapuas, Seruyan, Lamandau, Gunung Mas, Murung Raya, and Palangka Raya.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team reminded all Central Kalimantan people to continue to comply with health protocols to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission.

“Those who are not aware of the health protocol, let’s have 5M mandatory (wearing masks, washing hands with soap or cleansing hands with sanitizer, maintaining distance, limiting mobility, and avoiding crowds). Carry out 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) and immediately get vaccinated so that more people are protected and Covid-19 will soon pass in Central Kalimantan and all over the world,” the Task Force Team urged.
