PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team released the progress of handling the Covid-19 pandemic on Thursday, 6 May 2021 at 15.00 (Indonesia Western Time Zone). In its release, the Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team through the Central Covid-19 Handling Task Force said that the Government officially received another arrival of the Covid-19 vaccine, namely the Sinopharm vaccine totaling 982,400 doses.

The Sinopharm vaccine will later be used for the vaccination program under the Mutual Cooperation scheme. The vaccination program in this scheme will involve foreign workers residing in Indonesia to get vaccines. Indonesian President Joko Widodo has also given permission for foreign workers who have a Temporary Stay Permit Card and a Permanent Stay Permit Card (KITAS / KITAP) to get vaccines under the Mutual Cooperation scheme.

According to the information delivered in the release of the Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force, the development of this vaccination program in technical implementation is still coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and PT Bio Farma. Apart from using the Sinopharm type vaccine, the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination Program is also likely to use 5 million doses of the Cansino type vaccine.

Meanwhile, in a release on Thursday (6/5/2021), the Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team also informed the development of Covid-19 handling data that had accumulated until 3:00 p.m., as follows:

1) A total of 13 regencies and 1 municipality have been affected.

2) Confirmation case, there were an additional 74 people, namely in Palangka Raya (19 people), Katingan (8 people), East Kotawaringin (11 people), West Kotawaringin (25 people), Sukamara (1 person), Seruyan (4 people), Kapuas (2 people), Gunung Mas (2 people), South Barito (1 person), and Murung Raya (1 person), so that from the previous data (20,450 people) increased to 20,524 people.

3) Recovered, there were additional 136 people, namely 60 people in Palangka Raya, 4 people in Katingan, 38 people in East Kotawaringin, 19 people in West Kotawaringin, 3 people in Seruyan, 2 people in Pulang Pisau, 7 people in Kapuas, 2 people in Gunung Mas, and 1 person in South Barito, so that from the previous data (18,731 people) increased to 18,867 people.

4) In the case of suspect, there were an additional 5 people, so that from the previous data (308 people) increased to 313 people.

5) Probable case, there is an increase of 1, so that from 90 people to 91 people.

6) In treatment, there was a decrease of 63 people, so that from the previous data (1,185 people) decreased to 1,122 people.

7) Death case, there was an addition of 1 person, namely in Seruyan, so that from 534 people became 535 people. Death rate (CFR) is 2.6%.

8) There were an additional 360 specimens, from 136,591 specimens to 136,951 specimens.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force Team always reminds all people to remain disciplined in adhering to health protocols and to support the Government’s efforts to break the chain of Covid-19 distribution. The Task Force Team emphasized, “For residents who are not aware of health protocols, Remember! 4M Mandatory, namely wearing a mask, washing hands, keeping your distance, and avoiding crowds, as well as doing 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) so that Covid-19 will soon end in Central Kalimantan and throughout the world.” (renn/translated by feb)
