PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force team, Friday (12/3/2021) said, to anticipate the Christmas and New Year holidays, the government developed a strategy to control 3 important aspects of preventing a spike in Covid-19 cases, among others, first, the prevention of imported cases, especially those caused by the variant that is being concerned of. Second, the control for safe mobility. And, third, enforcement of health protocols. This strategy is realized in the form of policies, such as tightening travel requirements, increasing quarantine period of time, adjusting community social activities, and eliminating leave for State Civil Apparatus.

There are 3 anticipatory strategies for Christmas and New Year Holidays, namely:

1) Domestic mobility restrictions are implemented situationally with an odd-even system in agglomeration areas, provincial capital, tourist sites, and other areas; limiting domestic territory with strict health screening; establishing a Command Post in the area for random testing; and monitoring mobility on land routes.

2) Adjustment of community social activities is carried out with strict health protocols for worship activities, tourist attractions, and public facilities; and the absence of leave for Christmas and New Year holidays, going home, and school holidays.

3) Monitoring of community social activities is carried out with the obligation to establish a Health Protocol Task Force in public facilities as a condition for operational licensing and to re-optimize the Covid-19 Task Force to villages or sub-districts.

The public is advised that in addition to vaccination, the application of health protocols as a living habit is a demand in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. Some people have complied with health protocols, but there are still others who lack the awareness to apply the 5M principles, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, limiting mobility, and avoiding crowds.

The following is the amount of accumulated data as of today, Friday (12/3/2021), that there are no additional confirmed positive Covid-19 patients in Central Kalimantan, so there are still 46,675 people. There were 2 additional patients recovered, bringing the total to 45,079 people. And, there were no additional deaths, so it remained 1,586 deaths.

Meanwhile, the development of Covid-19 data that has been accumulated on December 3, 2021 at 03.00 p.m. is as follows: Confirmation cases have no additions, so there are still 46,675 people. There were 2 additional recovered patients, namely in Sukamara, so from 45,077 people increased to 45,079 people. There was a decrease of 2 people under treatment, so from 12 people to 10 people. There were no additional deaths, so it remained 1,586 people, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

For Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), Intensive Beds experienced an increase in Bed Usage (7.14%), so that from 11.90% to 19.05%, in which no Regency/Municipality had BOR above 50% , while Insulation Beds experienced a decrease in Used Beds (0.63%), so from 2.61% to 1.98%, where there was no Regency/ Municipality with a BOR above 50%.

For the achievement of the Vaccination Phase I and II targets of 2,036,104, the realization of Phase I Vaccination was 1,305,290 or 64.11% and Phase II of 775,598 or 38.09%, while for the achievement of the Phase III Vaccination targets for Health Workers of 24,095, the realization was 18,737 or 77.76%.
