PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Province Task Force for Handling COVID-19, chaired by Governor Sugianto Sabran, again released the data of handling the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday (11/1/2022) until 03.00 p.m. In the written release, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Team also conveyed information from the Central Covid-19 Task Force regarding the Indonesian Government’s ban on foreign nationals who wish to enter with a travel history from countries with cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

The Central Covid-19 Task Force stated that the Indonesian Government prohibits foreigners from entering Indonesia if they have a travel history of the last two weeks from 14 countries listed in Circular (SE) of the COVID-19 Handling Task Force Number 1/2022.

The countries are those that have confirmed community transmission of the Omicron variant, such as South Africa, Botswana, Norway, and France. In addition, countries that are geographically close to the 4 countries above are Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini, and Lesotho as well as countries with the number of Omicron cases exceeding 10,000 cases, such as England and Denmark.

Meanwhile, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Team asked the entire community to play active role in the success of the COVID-19 vaccination with the government and to continue to comply with health protocols and applicable policies. “It must continue to be done so that everything can be avoided from COVID-19 infection,” said the Task Force Team.

Furthermore, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Team also appealed that in addition to vaccination, the implementation of health protocols as a living habit is a demand in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Some people have complied with health protocols, but there are still others who lack the awareness to apply the 5M principles, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.

5M’s healthy behavior is a very important prevention effort. Everyone must be willing and able to make changes to 5M compliance behavior, so as to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

Furthermore, in this release, the Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Team conveys the accumulated data up to Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 03.00 p.m. Confirmation cases did not increase, so it remained 46,727 people.

Likewise with the recovery status, which did not change, so it remained 45,127 people. The status of patients under treatment and cases of death did not increase, so they remained 10 people and death cases remained 1,590 people respectively, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.4%.

Furthermore, it is also informed about the usability of the bed in the hospital or the Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR). Intensive Beds did not change in Bed Occupancy (0.00%), so that they remained at 7.14%, where there was no Regency/Municipality with a BOR above 50%. Meanwhile, Isolated Beds did not change in Bed Occupancy (0.00%), so that they remained at 1.12%, in which no Regency/Municipality had a BOR above 50%.

Then, the Task Force also mentioned the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, of which the realization of Dose I Vaccination at Central Kalimantan Province had reached 81.33%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I vaccination.

For the achievement of vaccinations for teachers and education personnel, High Schools (SMA), and equivalent vocational schools (SMK), the realization of PNS/GTT/PTT Vaccinations did not increase so that it remained at 6,258 or 79.01%. The first dose of SMA/SMK was not added so it remained at 73.202 or 76.95%, and the second dose of SMA/SMK was not added, so it remained at 32,403 or 34.06%.

In addition, it was also informed that based on Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 02 of 2022 dated January 3, 2022 on the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities at Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 and Optimizing the Command Post for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 at the Village and District Level to Control the Spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua, for regencies/municipality in Central Kalimantan Province there are three criteria, namely Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 which are valid until January 17, 2022.

The regencies/municipality with these criteria are: Level 1 consists of East Kotawaringin, Kapuas, South Barito, North Barito, Seruyan, Lamandau, Gunung Mas, Pulang Pisau, and East Barito. Level 2 consists of West Kotawaringin, Katingan, Murung Raya, and Palangka Raya City. Then, for Level 3 is Sukamara.

The Central Kalimantan COVID-19 Task Force Team always reminds the entire community to remain disciplined in complying with health protocols and supporting the Government’s efforts to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission. “For residents who are not aware of the health protocols, remember! Mandatory 5M: wearing masks, washing hands with soap in running water or cleaning hand with sanitizers, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility. Then, also to be disciplined in carrying out 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) and immediately get vaccination so that more people are protected and this COVID-19 will end in Central Kalimantan and all over the world,” said the Task Force.
