Quoted from the Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force, the Central Task Force of Covid-19 Handling reiterated to the public that the function of Covid-19 vaccine is to prevent transmission or to prevent someone who has been infected from experiencing bad symptoms due to being infected with the virus. In fact, to ensure its safety, the Food and Drug Inspection Agency (POM) has conducted safety and quality tests before the vaccine is given to the public.

Until now, the treatment for Covid-19 is still in the development stage. The best effort to avoid the transmission of Covid-19 is to comply with health protocols and carry out vaccination activities if possible. In addition, to meet the needs of the vaccination program in Indonesia, the government again received 8 million doses of Sinovac vaccine in bulk which arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Monday (31/05/2021). The government hopes that the national vaccination program can run well and run according to schedule. Thus, public health can recover and the national economy can rise.

The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team also said that every day, the number of positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan was always increasing. People at high risk are those who have comorbidities, such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, and kidney failure. In addition, people who have low immune systems, elderly people over 60 years, and those who are obese or overweight. Having received vaccinations and having healthy behavior namely 4M (Wearing Masks, Washing Hands, Keeping Distance, Avoiding Crowds) and always praying to God Almighty to always give us health, are considered very important prevention efforts. The Covid-19 prevention strategy by Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force for Behavior Change is focused on increasing 4M compliance. Everyone must be willing and able to make changes in 4M compliance behavior, so as to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.

The number of accumulated data on positive confirmed Covid-19 patients in Central Kalimantan increased by 81 people, with a total of 22,651 cases. The addition of patients who were recovered was 84 people, with a total of 20,882 cases. And, there was addition of 5 people dead, bringing the total to 607 people.

Furthermore, the development of Covid-19 data that has been accumulated is as follows: regarding the affected zones, as many as 13 regencies and 1 municipality have been affected. Confirmation cases have added by 81 people, namely in Palangka Raya (24 people), Katingan (10 people), West Kotawaringin (27 people), Lamandau (12 people), Sukamara (2 people), Kapuas (1 person), Gunung Mas (3 people), South Barito (1 person), and Murung Raya (1 people), from 22570 people to 22651 people. There were 84 people recovered, namely in Palangka Raya (20 people), Katingan (8 people), East Kotawaringin (19 people), West Kotawaringin (4 people), Lamandau (10 people), Sukamara (2 people), Kapuas (11 people), Gunung Mas (6 people), South Barito (2 people), and North Barito (2 people), from 20798 people to 20882 people. Suspect cases have decreased by 45 people, from 417 people to 372 people. There are no additional Probable Cases, so they remain 96 people. There was a decrease of 8 people under treatment, from 1170 people to 1162 people. There were additional 5 deaths, namely in Palangka Raya (2 people), East Kotawaringin (1 person), Gunung Mas (1 person), and South Barito (1 person), from 602 people to 607 people, with the case fatality rate (CFR) of 2.7%.
