KUALA KAPUAS – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Covid-19 pandemic (Corona Virus) which also affected people of Central Kalimantan gives a  concern for the Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran. Together with a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from Central Kalimantan Electoral Region Agustiar Sabran, Governor Sugianto handed over his salary and other benefits of Rp. 13 billion to buy food packages to help residents in Central Kalimantan, one of them is in Kapuas regency.

The distribution of food packages to poor people in Kapuas Regency was carried out by Young Volunteers of Sugianto Sabran and Millennial Volunteers of Agustiar Sabran, Tuesday (4/28/2020).

The assistance of 10,000 food packages distributed in these two stages consisted of 50 tons of rice, 1,250 boxes of instant noodles, 832 boxes of cooking oil, and 69 boxes of soap.

“This assistance is a personal aid from Mr. H. Sugianto Sabran and Mr. H. Agustiar Sabran. We give it to the people who are in need in Kapuas Regency,” said H. Yadi, a native of Kapuas who is the Chairperson of Young Volunteers for Sugianto Sabran.

“The desire of H. Sugianto and H. Agustiar is to be able to ease the burden of poor people affected by Covid-19. This is his promise to donate his salary so it can be felt by the community,” added H. Yadi when delivering aid in Selat District, Kapuas Regency with the escort from personnels of Armed Forces and Police.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Millennial Volunteers for Agustiar Sabran, Muhammad Alfansuri, said that the distribution would continue in stages and be fair so that it was right on target. He said he requested prayers to all the people of Central Kalimantan so that the team in charge of distributing aid to various regions throughout the regencies and city was given health in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic situation.

“We continue to make efforts to gradually distribute the food packages which are the assistance from H. Sugianto Sabran and H. Agustiar Sabran to reach residents in all villages. Please pray for it to be completed quickly and right on target,” said Alfansuri. (ist/translated by feb)
