Covid-19 Positive Cases in Central Kalimantan Again Increase on 13 June 2020
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Covid-19 Positive Cases in Central Kalimantan increased by 21 cases, 11 cases were found in Palangka Raya, 1 case was found in Katingan Regency, 1 case was found in West Kotawaringin Regency, 2 cases were found in Lamandau Regency and 3 cases were found in Gunung Mas Regency and 3 cases were found in Murung Raya Regency. Thus, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Central Kalimantan has so far reached 584 cases. The information was conveyed by the Central Kalimantan Task Force for Covid-19 Handling Acceleration in its release today, Saturday (05/13/2020) at 3 p.m.
In today’s release, it’s also informed that COVID-19 patients who are still being treated as many as 319 people or an increase of 4 people from the previous day, Friday (06/12/2020). While the death rate of patients until this release was decreased by 3 people, namely 2 people increased in Palangka Raya and 1 person increased in Gunung Mas Regency, thus the total number of patients died as many as 33 people.
Meanwhile, recovered Covid-19 patients increased by 14 people to 232 people. The 14 patients who were declared recovered are from Palangka Raya (1 person), Kotawaringin Barat Regency (10 people), Kapuas Regency (1 person) and Murung Raya Regency (2 people).
Other data come from the release of Central Kalimantan Task Force for Covid-19 Handling Accelaration today showed that the number of people under investigation (ODP) was reduced by 11 people to 226 people with the highest number of ODP in Katingan Regency, 84 people. For people with close contact without symptoms (OTG), which originally amounted to 1,535 people have now added 13 people to 1,548 people with the highest number of OTG found in Murung Raya Regency, which is 621 people. Whereas for Patients Under Investigation (PDP) increased by 5 people to 88 people.
Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran and Central Kalimantan Task Force Team continue to make various efforts to prevent and deal with the spread of Corona Virus in Land of Tambun Bungai, such as increasing the socialization of COVID-19 health protocol and implementation of clean and healthy lifestyle in the midst of this pandemic.
The clean and healthy lifestyle that was intensified in the series of socialization included washing hands with soap in running water, physical distancing, and wearing masks when having activities outside the home. Strict sanctions can be given to the community if they continue to ignore government’s instruction.
