Government Renewed Quarantine Provisions for Foreign Travelers
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team of the Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force delivered a Press Release regarding the development of handling the Covid-19 Pandemic in Central Kalimantan until Thursday (3/3/2022).
In a release referring to the Central Covid-19 Task Force, the Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team said that the Government had updated the quarantine provisions for Foreign Travelers (PPLN) to only 3 days. This is valid from March 1, 2022 for PPLN who have been fully vaccinated or have received a booster and perform a PCR test upon arrival.
The Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team in its release also said that there had been an addition to 227 confirmed positive Covid-19 patients in Central Kalimantan, namely in Palangka Raya (75 people), Katingan (23 people), East Kotawaringin (16 people), West Kotawaringin (6 people), Lamandau (5 people), Sukamara (8 people), Seruyan (9 people), Pulang Pisau (10 people), Kapuas (23 people), Gunung Mas (16 people), South Barito (13 people), East Barito (10 people), North Barito (5 people), and Murung Raya (7 people), bringing the total to 54051 people.
There were 234 patients recovered, namely in Palangka Raya (61 people), Katingan (8 people), East Kotawaringin (25 people), West Kotawaringin (13 people), Lamandau (4 people), Sukamara (1 person), Seruyan (15 people), Pulang Pisau (16 people), Kapuas (40 people), Gunung Mas (8 people), South Barito (26 people), East Barito (7 people), North Barito (9 people), and Murung Raya (1 person) bringing the total to 48482 people.
Meanwhile, there was one death case, bringing the total to 1618, with a mortality rate (CFR) of 3.0%. There were 8 recovered patients bringing the total from 3959 to 3951 people.
For the achievement of the vaccination target of 2,036,104, the realization of Dose I Vaccination for Central Kalimantan Province has reached 92.57%. All regencies/municipality have achieved above 70% of Dose I Vaccination.
According to Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 11 of 2022 dated February 14, 2022 concerning the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities at Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 and Optimizing the Command Post for Handling Corona Virus Disease 2019 at the Village and Sub-District Levels to Control the Transmission of Corona Virus Disease 2019 in Sumatra Region, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua, for regencies/municipality in Central Kalimantan Province, three criteria are applied, namely Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
With the implementation of PPKM, the Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Task Force Team again reminded all the people of Central Kalimantan to continue to comply with health protocols to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission. “For those who are not aware of the health protocols, remember! 5M is mandatory, such as wearing masks, washing hands with soap or cleansing hands with sanitizer, maintaining distance, reducing mobility, and avoiding crowds. Carry out 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) and immediately get vaccinated so that more people are protected and Covid-19 will soon pass in Central Kalimantan and all over the world,” said the Task Force Team.
