Acting Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Checks Readiness for Aid Distribution for Flood Victims in North Barito and Murung Raya Regency
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Acting Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Province Nuryakin checks the readiness of aid distribution for flood-affected communities in North Barito and Murung Raya regency, at the Governor’s Office frontyard, Palangka Raya on Sunday (12/9/ 2021).
The assistance from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government for flood victims in North Barito and Murung Raya regency will be sent immediately after receiving the latest report from the local regency government.
According to the interim report, flood that hits North Barito Regency starting on September 4, 2021 and has affected as many as 7 sub-districts, namely Teweh Baru, Lahei, Teweh Selatan, Montallat, Lahei Barat, Teweh Tengah, and Gunung Timang, with a number of people affected by the flood more than 4,082 families.
Meanwhile, for Murung Raya Regency, flood that occurred starting September 1, 2021 hits 5 sub-districts, namely Laung Tuhup, Seribu Riam, Permata Intan, Murung, and Barito Tuhup Raya, with a total of 1,454 families affected.
As directed by the Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran, Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin emphasized that the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government is ready to assist Regency/Municipality Government in handling flood disaster that hits their areas.
Today’s activity is also continued with the delivery of PT Bank Kalteng’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistance to flood-affected communities. The CSR assistance was symbolically handed over by the Managing Director of Bank Kalteng Yayah Diasmono to the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, which in this case was represented by Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin.
Also attending this activity to check the readiness of aid, among others, were Acting Chief Executive of the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of Central Kalimantan Erlin Hardi, Acting Head of Social Service Farid Wajdi, Acting Head of People’s Welfare Bureau and Head of General Bureau Lisda Arriyana.
