Central Kalimantan Governor Expected to Build Emotional Relationship and Synergy Between Local Government and Commission III of The Indonesian House of Representatives
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran held a welcome dinner for the working visit of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives to Central Kalimantan Province. This event was held at the Isen Mulang Palace, Palangka Raya, Monday (21/2/2022) night.
This friendly gathering was carried out in order to welcome the arrival of the Chair of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives who was also the team leader of the working visit H. Desmond Junaidi Mahesa and the entire entourage.
On this occasion, Governor Sugianto Sabran conveyed his warmest welcome and highest appreciation to the Chair of Commission III and the entourage of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Bumi Tambun Bungai, Bumi Pancasila, Central Kalimantan.
“On behalf of myself and the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, I would like to welcome and express my highest appreciation to the Chair of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Mr. H. Desmond Junaidi Mahesa, SH, MH, and the entire entourage in Bumi Tambun Bungai, Bumi Pancasila, Central Kalimantan Province,” said the Governor in his foreword.
The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan expressed its gratitude and welcomes this working visit where the strategic role of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives as political representation can encourage the development acceleration of community welfare, especially the people of Central Kalimantan.
“I hope this working visit of Commission III will further strengthen the emotional relationship and synergy between the Regional Government and the Indonesian House of Representatives, especially the ranks of Commission III,” continued the Governor.
Governor Sugianto Sabran said that Central Kalimantan Province had extraordinary natural resource potential. With an area of 1.5 times bigger than the island of Java and having 11 major rivers, mining, plantation and forestry sector, Central Kalimantan has the potential to contribute to development in Central Kalimantan Province.
“It is our common hope that these abundant natural resources can be used as well as possible for the welfare of the people of Central Kalimantan and can increase the Regional Original Income of Central Kalimantan Province, so they can also support the acceleration of development in Central Kalimantan Province,” he said.
Therefore, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government continues to take strategic steps to achieve this, one of which is to support President Joko Widodo’s policy of downstreaming, so as to increase added value for leading sectors and to absorb labor. Apart from this, other strategic steps such as infrastructure development is also continuously built to achieve accessibility and connectivity.
“All these steps and efforts certainly cannot be easily carried out without the support from various parties, one of which is from the ranks of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, so that development is expected to focus on aspects of equity, quality and integrity,” he said.
In this event, souvenirs were also handed over from the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government to the Chair of Commission III Desmond Junaidi Mahesa.
Being present in this event were the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan, members of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of Central Kalimantan Province, Acting Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan as well as other invited guests. (may/ben/transl.feb)
