Representing Governor, Assistant for Economy and Development Releases Contingent of Central Kalimantan Pesparawi to Compete in The 13th National Pesparawi in Yogyakarta
PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran, represented by the Assistant for Economy and Development Leonard S. Ampung, attended the grand concert and the release of Central Kalimantan Ecclesiastical Choir Party (Pesparawi) Contingent to compete in the 13th National Pesparawi which will take place in Yogyakarta on 19-26 June 2022. The grand concert and the release of the Central Kalimantan Pesparawi contingent was held at Sakatik Church, Jalan Baban, Palangka Raya, Thursday (16/6/2022) afternoon.
In 2022, Central Kalimantan will send contingents from the Regencies of Murung Raya, East Barito, Lamandau, Sukamara, Seruyan, East Kotawaringin, Katingan, Gunung Mas, Pulang Pisau, and Kapuas, each regency will participate in 1 competition category and Palangka Raya contingent will participate in 2 competition categories. The grand concert was held as a form of preparation for the contingent to compete in the 13th National Pesparawi event in Yogyakarta. The concert presented performances from contingents with various categories.
On behalf of the Central Kalimantan provincial government, the Governor through the assistant Leonard S. Ampung welcomed the holding of the Central Kalimantan Province Pesparawi Contingent Grand Concert. “I hope that the performance at this grand concert will be evaluated later, as input for the Central Kalimantan Province Pesparawi Contingent to perfect preparations, both technically and mentally,” said the Governor.
The governor also advised that all contingents have a strong and tough mentality, so that they can give the best and optimal performance. “Hopefully the achievements that have been achieved as the 4th winner at the 12th National Pesparawi in Pontianak, West Kalimantan in 2018 can be a motivation, so that this year the Central Kalimantan contingent can become the best champion,” said the Governor.
Appreciation was also given by the Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Central Kalimantan H. Noor Fahmi who was also present at the grand concert. “We from the Representative Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Central Kalimantan Province fully support the success of the Pesparawi national event, especially for the contingent of Central Kalimantan Province. We advise the contingent, both participants and trainers or assistants, to maintain health and continue to practice before performing so that they can bring the good name of Central Kalimantan Province,” said Noor Fahmi.
Meanwhile, according to the Head of the Regional Pesparawi Development Institute (LPPD) of Central Kalimantan Province, Guntur Taladjan in his report, as many as 322 Central Kalimantan contingents will take part in all 12 categories of competitions, consisting of the children’s choir, solo vocal for children 7-9 years old, and solo vocal for children 10 -13 years old, youth choir, male and female youth vocal, vocal group, archipelago church music, women’s choir, male choir, ecclesiastical pop music, mixed adult choir plus officials from the Province/Regency/Municipality.

The contingent is determined to achieve maximum results. We ask for prayers and support from all the people of Central Kalimantan to make Central Kalimantan proud and more BERKAH,” said Guntur.
The release ceremony was marked by the handing over of the LPPD flag from the Governor through the Assistant Leonard S. Ampung to the Chairman of the LPPD Central Kalimantan Province Guntur Taladjan to compete at the 13th National Pesparawi event. Being present at this event were a number of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum members, the Heads of Regional Government Institutions of Central Kalimantan Provincial Government, the chancellors and heads of State and Private Universities in Palangka Raya, church leaders, synod leaders, and religious leaders.
