Having Virtual Meeting with Head of National Agency of Disaster Management, Governor Sugianto Conveyed Report on Covid-19 Handling in Central Kalimantan

Located in Isen Mulang Palace, Saturday (05/02/2020), the Chairman of Central Kalimantan Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 H. Sugianto Sabran, accompanied by the Executive Chairman H. Darliansjah, followed the discussion on handling Covid-19 pandemic throughout Indonesia.
The Virtual Meeting through Video Conference with the agenda of Coordination for Handling Covid-19 Pandemic was led directly by the Head of BNPB as the Chairman of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 Lieutenant General TNI Doni Monardo who was also accompanied by the Deputy Chairman.
In addition to Central Kalimantan, this meeting was also attended by the province of South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, South Sumatra, West Sumatra, Lampung, Riau, and Riau Islands Province.
Governor Sugianto Sabran conveyed in his report that Central Kalimantan has prepared a special budget for the provision of social safety networks in handling Covid-19 in Central Kalimantan with a budget of Rp 500 Billion for the Province and for Regencies / City ranging from Rp 30 Billion to Rp 70 Billion.
“We have prepared a budget for handling health impacts of Rp 200 billion, as Rp 70 billion for economic impacts and as Rp 200 billion for the social impacts,” he added.
Furthermore, to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission from outside the region, on the same occasion Governor Sugianto Sabran expressed his will to extend the time period related to the stipulation of the Minister of Transportation’s Regulation regarding the temporary ban on the use of air transportation for passenger which will be ended on June 1, 2020, then extended until June 21, 2020.
