Governor Sugianto Sabran and Agustiar Sabran Distributed Aid for Students of UPR
PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran and a member of Indonesian House of Representatives of Central Kalimantan Selection Region H. Agustiar Sabran distributed 1,000 food packages to students of Palangka Raya University (UPR). This assistance is a form of concern and sincere intention to help ease the burden on the lives of people affected by Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), including students in UPR environment.
Agustiar Sabran who now sits on the Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives handed over a symbolic aid to the Chairman of Student Representatives Council (DPM) Uef Jefrico in the lobby of UPR Rectorate Building, Saturday (05/02/2020). This distribution of aid was witnessed by UPR Rector Andrie Elia Embang accompanied by Vice Chancellor for Law, Organization and Student Affairs Suandi Sidauruk.
On this occasion, Agustiar Sabran who currently also serves as Chairman of Dayak Customary Council (DAD) of Central Kalimantan Province said the assistance was purely handed over personally along with Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran.
“This is rudimentary help. Don’t look at the amount of assistance, but this is purely from our sincere intention to help and ease the burden of UPR students who are currently experiencing difficulties, especially for those who are currently in need,” he said.
According to Agustiar, the assistance was a form of his and Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran’s concern for the community while facing the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“I, along with Mr. H. Sugianto Sabran, also highly appreciate all UPR students. In addition, I also hope that you can express your aspirations to us, especially considering that I, as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, is expected to be able to voice the aspirations of Central Kalimantan people, especially students,” Agustiar Sabran added.
Meanwhile, UPR Rector Andrie Elia Embang said that UPR is very opened to receiving assistance from anyone, including from students who are able to help their colleagues who are in need.
“It is legitimate to receive assistance in this condition. As long as it is done with sincerity to help others to fight against COVID-19. We also thank Mr. H. Agustiar Sabran and Mr. H. Sugianto Sabran for caring and channeling personal assistance to UPR students,” concluded the Executive Head of Central Kalimantan Dayak Customary Council.
In the distribution of this personal assistance from Governor Sugianto Sabran and Agustiar Sabran, it was also attended by the Chairman of Agustiar Aspiration House, Chairperson of Agustiar Volunteers, Chairperson of Sugianto Sabran Young Millennial Volunteers, and Representatives of ORMAWA UPR Students.
