PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Acting Provincial Secretary Nuryakin attended a Cross-Sector Meeting to Accelerate Decline in Stunting and Child Marriage in Central Kalimantan 2022, at Aquarius Boutique Hotel, Palangka Raya on Thursday (14/4/2022).

The consolidation meeting aimed to follow up the mandate of Presidential Regulation Number 72 of 2021 concerning Acceleration of Decline in Stunting, in line with the Vision-Mission of the Governor and Deputy Governor in Accelerating the Development of Intelligent, Healthy, and Competitive Human Resources as stated in Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of Central Kalimantan in 2021-2026.

When delivering his speech, the Acting Provincial Secretary said that a joint commitment is needed to achieve the goals and targets of the national work program.

“Through this activity, it is hoped that we can build our commitment together, as our effort to achieve the goals and targets of the national work program, especially efforts to accelerate the decline of stunting and child marriage in Central Kalimantan,” said the Acting Provincial Secretary.

According to the Acting Provincial Secretary, Nuryakin, the acceleration of decline in stunting and child marriage can be realized with synergy among stakeholders.

“Synergies among stakeholders, government, private sectors, communities, and all parties are expected to play active role in accelerating the decline in stunting and child marriage in Central Kalimantan in a more structured, holistic and integrative manner,” he explained.

Furthermore, the Acting Provincial Secretary hoped that the meeting will provide benefits for participants in an effort to support the acceleration of decline in stunting and child marriage.

“I hope that the participants follow this meeting with full sincerity and dedication until the implementation is complete, with the hope that the results achieved can be implemented to accelerate the decline in stunting and child marriage,” he concluded.

Being present at the event were the Head of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning Office Linae Victoria Aden and the Acting Head of National Population and Family Planning Office Fitriyanto Leksono. (rik/fen/transl.feb)
