PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communications Team for Covid-19 Handling Task Force of Central Kalimantan again delivered a Press Release regarding the progress of handling Covid-19 until Thursday (01/07/2021) at 15.00 p.m.

In its statement released this time, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force said that Covid-19 pandemic had an impact not only on the health sector, but also on the social-economy of the community. For this reason, the government is present through the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program to stimulate the national economy, maintain people’s purchasing power, and support the economic sector that contributes to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), such as the MSME sector and others.

Special Staff of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Yustinus Prastowo said the trend of the Indonesian economy had shown the right policy direction. “Currently, we are focusing on handling health and at the same time overcoming the socio-economic impact of Covid-19. At the time like this, the state is here to take over most of the economic responsibilities by launching various economic stimuli,” he said.

He further explained, the government continues to strengthen economic stimulus to MSMEs and industry players as well as to strengthen the economy of the lower middle class by rolling out social safety nets with various schemes and channels. “Sectors that can still be active, we facilitate. Meanwhile, for sectors that are heavily affected, we will provide support,” said Yustinus.

Meanwhile, Financial Planner Rista Zwestika invites the public and business actors to take the positive side during this pandemic. “The positive side that we can take from this Covid-19 pandemic is that we are awakened from our comfort zone because of the risks we have to face, so planning for personal finances and business finances is very necessary,” said Rista.

Rista recommends that, for now, financial flows must be sorted according to a priority scale in order to fulfill payment obligations, spend on living necessities, and then fulfill desires. “At the next level, we need to plan this finance to mitigate the risks that will occur, both to protect our lives and health. With the current pandemic conditions when many of us are losing income, try to reorganize our finances,” he advised.
