Central Kalimantan Government Keeps Running Efforts To Cut Off Corona Virus Transmission, Mitigation, and Education

PALANGKA RAYA – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. Today, Wednesday (01/04/2020), a patient who was positive for COVID-19 has been cured and is allowed to go home after being treated at Doris Sylvanus Hospital, Palangka Raya for some time.

This good news was conveyed by Central Kalimantan Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, including the Head Division of Disease Prevention and Control in Central Kalimantan Health Office dr. Endang Sri Lestari, Director of Doris Sylvanus Hospital dr. Yayu Indriaty, and Disaster Management and Fire Office of Central Kalimantan Maria Cahaya, in a press release at the media center, this afternoon. So the total data of COVID-19 patient cases up to now: 10 people are positive, 28 people are in the care, 2 people are recovered, and 0 dies.

Furthermore it was reported, the number of People under Monitoring are 608 people, increased by 53 people from yesterday data which were 555 people. Palangka Raya still has the most People under Monitoring, which are 209 people. The number of Patients under Monitoring are 34 people with the distribution based on the referral hospitals: Doris Sylvanus Hospital has 28 people (reduced 5 out of 33), Sultan Imanuddin Hospital has 5 (still), Jaraga Sasameh Hospital has 1 person (still), and Muara Teweh Hospital has 0 person (still) reduced by 2 from yesterday 2 people).

Patients under Monitoring distribution based on the Regency / City origin: Palangka Raya has 21 people (decreased 4 out of 25), West Kotawaringin has 4 people (still), South Barito has 1 person (reduced 2 out of 3, conditions are still isolated in Jaraga Sasameh Hospital), North Barito has 3 people (still), Murung Raya has 1 person (decreased 1 of 2 due to negative results), Katingan has 0 (reduced 1 of 1 due to negative results), East Barito has 0 (decreased 2 from 2 due to negative results), Sukamara has 1 person (still), Kapuas has 2 people (increased from the previous 0), East Kotawaringin has 1 person (increased by 1 from the previous 0).

The confirmation of the laboratory results in Doris Sylvanus Hospital of the COVID-19 of Patients under Monitoring: 10 people are positive, 42 people are negative, and 28 people are being examined. While in Sultan Imanuddin Hospital, 0 person is positive, 9 people are negative, and 3 people are being examined.

The number of isolation rooms in three referral hospitals: 5 rooms (32 beds) in Doris Sylvanus Hospital, 16 rooms (19 beds) in Sultan Imanuddin Hospital, and 4 rooms (16 beds) in Dr. Murjani Hospital.

The Task Force Team in its press release this afternoon also confirmed that a patient in Doris Sylvanus Hospital, DR. Ir. Jusurum Jagau, MS passed away not due to COVID-19. This is supported by laboratory results that have been released today which show the relevant concerned which is negative for COVID-19. This affirmation was delivered directly by the Director of Doris Sylvanus Hospital, dr. Yayu Indriaty who was accompanied by the patient’s sister Helena Gatang Asi Sahay. Helena said that her late brother suffered from intestinal cancer and had undergone treatment in Surabaya and Jakarta. Helena expressed her gratitude to Doris Sylvanus Hospital and the team who also shared this clarification.

Meanwhile, answering when the peak of the Covid 19 pandemic in Central Kalimantan, dr. Yayu conveyed that April 2020 is the peak. Therefore, the effort of the provincial government is to continue to read the development of this disease and cut off transmission, make mitigation efforts, and education.

In connection with efforts to cut off transmission, Central Kalimantan Governor Sugianto Sabran has issued Decree No. 188.44 / 94/2020 dated 31 March 2020 concerning The Limitation of People Coming from Outside Central Kalimantan Province. Prevention of the intended inflow of people is by land, sea, river and air in the form of mitigation, detection and social education.
