SIMPANG POSING – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. While enjoying the beauty of nature and exploring the local tourism potentials, Central Kalimantan Vice Governor Habib Ismail Bin Yahya together with the Palangka Raya Dirt Bikes Community traversed some remote villages in Murung Raya Regency, Sunday (1/26/2020). In fact, the journey became even more challenging when the group crossed a rocky river along approximately 4 kilometers in the village of Muara Babuat.

“Besides the need to see some remote villages that cannot be reached by car, I also want to see the potentials of local tourism to be managed by the surrounding villages,” said Vice Governor when arriving in Simpang Posing while explaining that local tourism can be managed by village-owned enterprises to generate Regional Income.

“All we do is to increase economic growth in rural areas and to improve people’s welfare,” he added.

In February, Central Kalimantan Governor is scheduled to join in to inspect the remote villages that have been routinely carried out by Palangka Raya Dirt Bikes Community for at least twice a month. The charity activities on February 1 and 2, according to the plan, will be held for people in Muara Awang Village, East Barito and surrounding areas. It is planned that the community will also do camping in the area in addition to preparing water barrels, carpets or floor mats for houses of worship, and basarah halls (type of worship house for Kaharingan ), and working together to clean the tourist attractions area.

Previously, this community also conducted the charity activities for three days in Tumbang Sanamang Village, Katingan while in Tumbang Mahub village, Katingan, this community, among others, installed amplifiers and microphones as well as a number of equipment needed in the mosques that did not have electricity.
