PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran immediately released the vehicles to transport social assistance in the main lobby of Governor’s Office to communities affected by flood in Katingan Regency, Thursday (9/9/2021).

The assistance included 10 thousand packages, each package is worth 500 thousand rupiah and contained the basic needs, including 20 kgs of rice, milk for pregnant women, vitamin C, sugar, coffee, canned sardines, and other basic needs.

The assistance provided is expected to be immediately distributed and received by communities in Katingan. Governor reiterated that this aid should not be just a pile-up in the warehouses, this assistance must be immediately distributed and received by the communities. “If someone takes an action that violates the rules, he/she must be followed up immediately,” said the Governor.

Governor ordered all relevant ranks and agencies, as well as Katingan community leaders, to jointly participate in supervising and monitoring the distribution of social assistance for the flood emergency response.

Furthermore, Governor also gave directions for the communities to participate together with the Armed Forces/Police to work together to overcome this flood disaster.

Also accompanied the Governor in this event were the Vice Governor of Central Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Military Regional Commander of 102/Panju Panjung, Head of Central Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office, Head of Palangka Raya High Court, Head of Central Kalimantan Fire and Disaster Management Agency, and Head of Central Kalimantan Provincial Health Office.
