PANGKALAN BUN – PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION BUREAU. High concern was shown by the Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran for his people who are currently struggling with the Covid-19 Pandemic (Corona Virus). Both as Central Kalimantan Governor and a person, Governor Sugianto did not hesitate to directly  hand over his aid to the affected communities of Covid-19.

His assistance in form of thousands of masks, cash, and food packages has been distributed to the community and will continue to be distributed to other community members during Covid-19 period.

Together with a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for Central Kalimantan Electoral Region H. Agustiar Sabran in Kotawaringin Barat Regency (Kobar), Tuesday (4/28/2020), Governor Sugianto Sabran distributed 1,000 food packages to PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) of Kobar Regency and was received directly by the Chairperson of DPC PDIP Kobar Ahmadi Riansyah. The assistance will also be handed over to the surrounding communities.

“This is my personal assistance, H. Sugianto Sabran and my brother H. Agustiar Sabran. Don’t look at the amount of aid, but this is purely because of our concern for the people affected by Covid-19,” said Governor Sugianto when delivering the aid at DPC PDIP Kobar Office.

Since the Covid-19 handling in Central Kalimantan has the status of Emergency Preparedness until its status has now risen to Emergency Response, as the highest regional leader in Bumi Tambun Bungai, Governor Sugianto has also contributed to help poor people affected by Covid-19. “Covid-19 has many impacts, health, social and economic aspect. For that reason, with the existing policy authority, the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government has prepared a budget of Rp 500 billion for handling Covid-19,” Governor Sugianto explained.

According to the Governor, this budget amount is in accordance with existing provisions and reported to the President, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Finance, and other relevant Ministers. (ist/translated by feb)
