PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Public Communication Team of Central Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force again delivered a Press Release on development in the handling of Covid-19 pandemic until Wednesday (26/05/2021) at 15.00 p.m.

In a statement of its release this time, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force said that Indonesia received the arrival of the 13th stage of vaccines. This time, the total vaccines arrived are 8 million doses of Sinovac in bulk. This arrival brought the number of vaccines that Indonesia has received to 83.9 million doses, a combination of finished and bulk vaccines. Especially for the bulk vaccines, Bio Farma will further process them to become finished vaccines that are ready to be distributed and used in the Covid-19 vaccination program.

The Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Chair of the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN) Airlangga Hartarto said that the government always maintains the availability of vaccine stocks so that vaccination is in accordance with the set target stages. In addition, the government ensures that the government always guarantees safety, quality, and efficacy, so that there is no need for doubts for the public in receiving vaccines. The vaccines provided in Indonesia have gone through an evaluation process by POM which has received consideration from ITAGI, WHO, and experts.

To achieve herd immunity or group immunity, it takes 70% of the population or around 181.5 million Indonesians need to be vaccinated. Therefore, the government will immediately start the third phase of vaccination, which is for vulnerable people with several criteria that are considered, such as geospatial aspects with a high incidence of Covid-19 or red zones and socio-economic aspects.

Furthermore, it was said that the Government would strive for the success of vaccination in Indonesia, but the key to its success is that it must be supported by all parties, all components of society from all over Indonesia. The government will certainly continue to encourage increased public discipline in implementing the 4M health protocols; wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds. The government also continues to intensify the implementation of 3T; testing, tracing, and treatment, as part of its hard work in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, the development of Covid-19 data for Central Kalimantan today, where there were additional Confirmation Cases of 91 people, namely in Palangka Raya (28 people), Katingan (3 people), East Kotawaringin (30 people), West Kotawaringin (19 people), Sukamara (3 people), Pulang Pisau (5 people) and 3 people for Murung Raya, from 21,939 people to 22,030 people.
