PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Provincial Government of Central Kalimantan held a Coordination Meeting for Evaluation and Monitoring Team of Budget Realization (TEPRA) with Regency/Municipality Government in Central Kalimantan in 2022. The TEPRA meeting was attended by Deputy Governor H. Edy Pratowo , located at Jayang Tingang Hall, Governor’s Office, Palangka Raya on Tuesday (18/1/2022).

This TEPRA meeting was held in order to carry out an overall evaluation of budget absorption, both Provincial and Regency/Municipality Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) and State Budget (APBN), the process of procurement of government goods and services, as well as revenue receipts in 2021, so that budget absorption can be further optimized in 2022.

“It is hoped that in the future, we can identify the problems and challenges faced in the implementation of last year’s budget and can anticipate them so these problems do not happen again in 2022,” said Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo when delivering a written remarks of the Central Kalimantan Governor H. Sugianto Sabran.

Therefore, the Regency/Municipality Government and Regional Institutions of Central Kalimantan Province, whose budget absorption achievements were still low in 2021, were asked to improve their budget management performance. “In order to improve the management of the budget, so that it can support the achievement of the realization targets that have been set every quarter of budget execution,” asked the Deputy Governor.

Furthermore, the Deputy Governor emphasized, as directed by Governor Sugianto Sabran, budget allocations must be carried out effectively so that they can bring maximum benefit to the community, especially spurring the economy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. “The use of allocations must be effective and move the wheels of the economy in the regions,” he said.

The government’s procurement of goods and services (PBJ) is also expected to be realized soon because government expenditures are one of the main drivers of the economy during the current pandemic. As previously reported on Monday (17/01/2022) yesterday, a kick off of procurement of goods and services of the Provincial Government and Regency/Municipality Government in Central Kalimantan was carried out as an effort to accelerate the expenditures.

“Procurement of government goods and services must be on time, even a slight delay can reduce the percentage of economic growth in the region, especially infrastructure expenditures which is very sensitive to time,” concluded Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo.

Previously, in the report of the Acting Provincial Secretary read by Assistant for Economics and Development Leonard S. Ampung, it was stated that based on the results of monitoring and evaluation as of December 31, 2021, the financial realization of the 2021 Central Kalimantan Provincial Government budget was IDR 4.349 trillion, more than the budget ceiling of IDR 4.943 trillion or more 88.05%, while the physical realization was 91.79%.

Meanwhile, for Regency/Municipality Government in Central Kalimantan, the financial realization was Rp. 15,692 trillion, more than the total budget ceiling of Rp. 17.851 trillion or 87.91%, while the physical realization was 92.13%.

Furthermore, the TEPRA coordination meeting was also attended by South Barito Regent Eddy Raya Samsuri, Pulang Pisau Regent Pudjirustaty Narang, Deputy Regent of Gunung Mas Efrensia L.P. Umbing, Deputy Regent of Sukamara H. Ahmadi, and Municipality Secretary of Palangka Raya Hera Nugrahayu. This meeting was attended by Heads of Central Kalimantan Provincial Government Institutions and all TEPRA management in Regency/Municipality throughout Central Kalimantan Province.
