PALANGKA RAYA – EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATION BUREAU. The Provincial Secretary of Central Kalimantan Nuryakin opened the Regional Coordination Meeting for the Population Census 2020 (SP2020) at the Meeting Room of Best Western Batang Garing Hotel, Palangka Raya on Tuesday (26/4/2022).

The SP2020 Coordination Meeting was organized by the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Central Kalimantan, with the theme “Central Kalimantan’s Collaboration in #MencatatIndonesia for Resilient Indonesia, for Growing Indonesia”.

“By saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, today I officially declare that the SP2020 Regional Coordination Meeting for BPS at regency/municipality level in Central Kalimantan is commenced,” said Provincial Secretary Nuryakin in his remarks.

The Central Kalimantan Provincial Secretary also expressed his support for the implementation of the SP2020 which is expected to produce more detailed data related to population parameters that are important for accelerating development.

“I welcome every population data collection activity carried out by BPS. We are looking forward to the results of the SP2020 data collection,” said the Secretary of Central Kalimantan, Nuryakin.

“I hope that the 2020 Population Census will be a solution to the government’s expectations for the availability of various population parameters,” the Secretary expressed his hopes.

Therefore, Nuryakin invites the entire community to warmly welcome and assist the census officers as well as to succeed the SP2020 implementation. “Provide the correct answer to the officers. Each of our answers means a lot to the development of this country. Help BPS Record Indonesia,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Head of BPS of Central Kalimantan Eko Marsoro in his speech stated that the success of the SP2020 in Central Kalimantan requires collaboration and synergy of stakeholders, especially the provincial and regency/municipality government.

“Collaboration in overseeing the implementation on field is absolutely necessary. For this reason, BPS collaborates with the regional government as a member of the Implementation Team for the SP2020 activities, both at the provincial and regency/municipality level,” explained the Head of BPS of Central Kalimantan.

Being present at the event were the head of Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency of Central Kalimantan Kaspinor, the heads of related regional government institutions and the head of BPS in regency/municipality level in Central Kalimantan.

The participants of the Regional Coordination Meeting consist of the ranks of BPS, the Population and Civil Registry Office, and the Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Agency, both from the provincial and regency/municipality level throughout Central Kalimantan.
